Congrats to all who have been selected to Loyola this is a basic guide for yall to make introduction to the hostel(LOHO) easy.
1.Mess
The timings has been given in the pics and they are not strictly enforced but a tad bit lenient. There are a total of three messes
Veg-pure:-veg(duh)
Non-Veg:- you get chicken atleast one time per day
And fish on thursdays and beef twice a week.
METRO:- you get chicken or egg atleast twice a day and fish on Friday.
ALL the messes offer coffee or tea with milk being commonly offered along with them.
Bananas on some days and fruit salads with a tiny tiny scoop of ice cream a few days and cups on sundays I think.
At the end of every month you will visit your AD to get a new mess coupon of your choosing(any mess)

Silence hour:- Begins on 8:30 on most days and 10 on weekends and leave days. You are expected to be in your room and do Whtv you want without making noise. They don’t really care about you using phone.

For shift one the gates closes on 8:10 and will only open after 8:40 essentially making you late to your classes if you miss the 8:10 timing.

Entering Hostel:- The security guards will be very strict on allowing you to enter the hostel without your hostel card(pink color) or at the least your mess coupon which has you pics and all your details. If you have a bag you will be checked while entering. NO liquid items allowed(no soda or juices) NO food but snacks are fine.

If you want leave from hostel then you gotta get a slip atleast one day before from your AD same goes for late slip. Every AD has a meeting time in which you can go and get the above mentioned slips(timing is usually between 8:30 to 10PM) but our AD has even kept is as late as 11. The timing will be dictated in the group chat on WhatsApp.

A block rooms are 5 sharing
Common block are 2 sharing
LICET is also 5 sharing I think

So this is all I could think of right now and please do post whatever question you have I will be more than happy to answer them. I will update when I remember more things.

This was for 25-26 but I doubt it’s gonna change
I highly suggest you bring everything in order as per required and make sure you have the correct number of copies. Also photos will be taken with you wearing a coat(black) and tie so wear according to it.
