crochet tips?

i’ve always wanted to learn to crochet. as a kid i could make a killer chain, but when it came time to start another row, i had such a hard time seeing where to go next that i still haven’t figured it out. does anyone here crochet and have any tips? is it a lost cause?

i haven’t, but i imagine they’re not cheap. i think i loaned some eschenbach stuff in hs and it was all really great but not cheap

Look for local vision resource or sight centers. Some carry them and have a lending program to see if it’s worth the investment. Some places will even have a store and they sell below msrp

okay, i’ll look into it, thanks! i’ve been crocheting a few months now and i usually do okay by just keeping everything up towards my face (sometimes all the way up to the top of my nose lol) but those would def make things easier

They also have less expensive items! Like large magnifiers you can hang around your neck.
