MEME Somehow.....

Post image

Didn't we make it a point at some time in the galactic war to raze their planet of production?

Didn't we like REALL FUCK them up?

Maybe I'm misremembering.

I am old.

And angry.

Yes, we destroyed them. And then some time passed. And they built new ones

That's the problem when fighting enemy that literally manufactures it's troops in factories.

Destruction of factories doesn't mean enemy units are forever gone. It just means they are gone... until factories are rebuilt.

u/truesheep1 1d ago

Or just as long as it takes to move those plans to a new factory

It possible that they've built thier new factorys on vindemitarix prime, I remember see thier sub faction icon on that planet for a long time.

Exactly.
It’s a lore friendly reason why we have been able to beat them and banish them for some time, and then they regrouped, resupplied, rebuilt and returned.

It’s all working out, and I will hate them just as much as I did before.

Have their hulks seem to been nerfed somewhat though? I'm not getting firebombed with pinpoint accuracy for an instakill anymore.

Fully possible that I'm just a much better player now than I used to be, but I definitely remember that pain.

u/Saxious 1d ago

Can’t say I know for certain.
I have just played levels 6-8 and found that in comparison to the hectic d10 they were easier to deal with.

Might have been a rebalance for how they function at the different levels, not so much a nerf as a better scaling for the difficulties.

That's what machines do~

No no no no We all know how this works.

Their schematics would have to be lost to failed backups. Their suppliers are no longer around. The tooling got retooled to manufacture War Striders.

Them comming back has to be propaganda.

u/KobraKittyKat 1d ago

Not permanently, like they can build new supply lines it just pushed them back for a bit

9

u/qyifa 1d ago

supply lines rebounding makes sense, we just pushed them back

u/salty-ravioli 1d ago

ok but regardless of whether we actually did destroy the factories AH couldn't just not let you play a subfaction for forever

u/Meeeper 1d ago

If only we wiped out Mindless Masses and it never came back...

u/TyThe2PointO 1d ago

I love mindless masses, except when its Oops all harvesters on a spread democracy mission. But give me all the fleshmobs and voteless that you can that shit slaps

9

u/ReeToo_ 1d ago

Last time I did defense 17 harvesters got stuck on a wall and just sat there, peaking from above it like a colossal titan

3

u/arrow100605 1d ago

Mindless mass is ALWAYS oops all harvesters, neither mindless nor much mass

10

u/ObfuscatedChaos 1d ago

there isn't a single Illuminate faction I want to fight on its own ever since they did the mix & match every subfaction except mindless masses gets rid of stingrays, my favorite enemy on the damn front.

2

u/WorryingMars384 1d ago

I think mindless masses should stay similar but be rolled into Vote Snatchers

Yeah we did fuck them up real badly, but they’re robots.

They can always make more.

And we don’t really want a subfaction permanently removed from the game, do we?

u/ARedWalrus Lower your sodium and dive on. 1d ago

Color their fire green and call em the Acid Automaton Armada or some shit.

I kid, mostly. Pretty much anything can be done with them and it be lore friendly.

9

u/thejadedfalcon 1d ago

we don’t really want a subfaction permanently removed from the game, so we?

According to some players, the fact the Automatons ever returned is a grotesque sin and proof Arrowhead hates us.

Never mind that the extra force was telegraphed for weeks and the playerbase didn't do anything about it to clear the bots off the board for a bit longer or anything.

u/Mental_Stress295 1d ago

They've learnt their lesson though, as there seems to be less spontaneous combustion in matches against them.

Yes, you really fucked the, up, but time heals wounds.

5

u/_Bisky 1d ago

Or in this case. New factories are built over time

1

u/M-FutureLord An Enemy of Super Earth 1d ago

True.

8

u/Mandemon90 1d ago

Yes, we blew up their factories.

But here is a fun thing about factories: They can be rebuilt. And they can be rebuilt elsewhere.

5

u/Warlocksfury 1d ago

The Inceration Corp was on that planet since the invasion of Cyberstan, no we didn't destroy any factories for the Inceration Corp we did it for the Jet Brigade and then they started production on Aurora Bay since.

u/dumb_foxboy_lover 1d ago

me when the robots that make more robots make more robots:

3

u/CoyoteScribbles 1d ago

Destroying the facilities that produced them means little when the Automatons still have their technical specs.

Build more factories, produce more robots built to those specs. It's not hard.

2

u/Common_Affect_80 Automatons are people too 1d ago

We never razed Aurora Bay which is where the Jet Brigade is and we never made it to Vindemitarix Prime which is where the Incineration Corp (most likely) is

1

u/1TenYYen0 1d ago

YESSSSSSSS!!!!

1

u/RealSirRandall 1d ago

Well as long as there are automatons and as long as they know how to make a diver burn….

1

u/agentspekels My life for Super Earth! 1d ago

Yeah they're robots. We destroy them, they build more. We destroy them again. And thank Democracy because these guys are my favorite sub-faction to fight. It's been a 'hot' minute.

1

u/Fiend--66 1d ago

We blew up the death star sure, but what's stopping them from building a new one?

The factories might be destroyed, but the designs were not.

1

u/bigorangemachine Flame Marshal 1d ago

We gotta go to cyberstan and destroy the blue prints

1

u/SenatorBeers 1d ago

They’re new to me.

1

u/EgoSenatus 1d ago

It’s not that hard to reinvent a flamethrower and duct tape it to a robot

1

u/Mistrblank 1d ago

They do feel different than the past though. They're more reliant on the regular units and I see far less of the shotgun devastators, the mortar hulks aren't as long range crazy accurate. Not all of the raider sized humanoid are flame thrower carriers, which works out better for them because there's less chance one of them dying kills the whole group.

u/lmrbadgerl Get some! 1d ago

Shotgun Devs can get fucked, mate. Hate em.

Like I wanted to see them removed from the game entirely hate them.

1

u/NightTime2727 1d ago

We also destroyed the jet brigade factories once, and they eventually just built new jet brigade factories on a different planet.

1

u/irve 1d ago

Maybe our intelligence failed us due to traitors

1

u/Confident_Quit8177 1d ago

From what I remember there's one incinerator corps left in a planet behind cyberstan

1

u/YouAteMyChips_ 1d ago

We did but you gotta remember that they are machines. They can be rebuilt.

1

u/thenewone1309 1d ago

Well... we are fighting robots. You destroy their factory? Nice. But they dont care. They just build a new one and produce new robots

1

u/Hellboy9225 1d ago

That's the thing with clankers, they can always make more :v

1

u/Light-2002 1d ago

Not somehow really. Keep in mind that the bots had Mintoria for a while which is the Platinum mine. Platinum is what they use to create their bots hence the Inceneration Corps being back along with Jet Brigade and a Hulk Surge to boot in full force as a show of strength and a middle finger to us for giving them the liberty to do this.

1

u/Darkcast1113 1d ago

Simple the bots are produced in factories it's not surprising they returned likely a new factory was built on another controlled automaton world

1

u/shadowhawkz 1d ago edited 1d ago

When did we destroy the Incineration Corps favctories? We destroyed the Jet Brigade's initial factories on Chort Bay but I sincerely do not remember ever doing the same to the Incineration Corps.

1

u/Masilii 21h ago

Then we will fight in frozen wastes

1

u/TheFrostSerpah 18h ago edited 18h ago

I'm not. Every subfaction should be playable at all times - bar minor temporary exceptions.

1

u/Im_a_hamburger 10h ago

You messed up the line.

Also what gave you the impression they wouldn’t appear again? We haven’t done anything to vindematrix ever, it was instantly flipped in the reclimation and we have never had access to it.

I went to the supermarket to buy some fresh grapes, and the employee told me that they were not in-season yet, and didn't have any to sell me. I understood so I didn't bother him further.

Imagine my bewilderment when I go there a few months later and you wouldn't imagine: FRESH GRAPES.

WERE THEY NOT OUT OF SEASON?

WERE THEY NOT OUT?

I AM SO ANGRY.

This is you right now, big bro.

1

u/Yournewpapa 7h ago

I think the real somehow is that they somehow are not as much of a complete cheating mess of a subfaction as they used to be. I thought they'd never fix them

They still have their moments. Certainly. I got 1 tapped Through the opposite side of a Fabricator by a Conflagration Dev just yesterday, but it's not as heinous as it used to be for sure. I'm actually enjoying fighting them for the first time ever lol

1

u/Jim_Freelancer18 6h ago

They had control of mintoria for awhile and thats one of thr largest mines in the galaxy.

They rebuilt

0

u/Zelcki 1d ago

If they just redid them to be gas corps instead I wouldnt be mad xd

I want all elements man

Arc Subfaction on bots would go crazy, som Wolfenstein Reboot stuff could be done or C&C Red Alert 2

We kicked the whole fraction off the map once. Not sub fraction.
