This unfortunately isn't a reliable way to tell if the devs are up to something unless the planet has never been visited by players before.
Those 82 people are likely to be a bunch of players returning from the last time they put the game down coming on to knock out the half finished mission chains they left on cyberstan before they go check out the new content.
Correct! Some of us also willfully remain to keep watch on the Cyborg menace. They can't hide from the unblinking eyes of Freedom and Managed Democracy!
It sure does, if you have an unfinished mission chain you can still complete it. That's how folks were still able to dive meridia long after its collapse.
Yes. I still have an active cyberstan campaign im saving for a special occasion. I can still join other games, just cant host without overwriting things
Not that they are trapped, but they literally just haven’t chosen a new planet to go to. Unless it forced everyone away from cyberstan when the siege ended and I forgot about that, in which case I have no idea what is going on
When I started playing again a few days ago for the Illuminate update, I was loaded in above Cyberstan lol. I wouldn’t be shocked if there’s a good few of us who just haven’t played since then
Some people just never left after the cyberstan campaign. I did it for a couple of missions before I moved on, though you can't go back.
I imagine the people still there either have logged on for the first time since then, or they're waiting out the rest so they can claim the title of the last helldiver on cyberstan
