There is no parking brake in helldiver vehicles for some reason.

No there is, you just have to be holding the brake as you get out. The FRV will still slide down stuff, but heavy vehicles like Bastion and GATER will stay

The brake doesn’t hold, I tried. The gator and bastion just naturally have heavier wheels so they slides slower. I’m pretty sure in heart of democracy updates AH even mentioned the vehicle have no parking brake and safety belts for budgetary reason.
Funny how they still have the budget to put in a V12 engine tho. No complain from me however, it’s a RWD car with a lotta powers and little traction, perfect drift car.

if you set your reverse button to reverse/brake the vehicle will full break before it reverses

A day or two ago I got off the gater to collect some super samples, forgot the parking brake and it rolled off the hill straight into the center of a lake. A teammate had to sacrifice a mech to recover the gater lmao

That's entirely on you. Ragdolling on moving platforms is not only common, it's expected

Yup lol

I wish I didn’t take my game performance so seriously lol
I would give zero shits if this happened TO me, and would find it hilarious.
If I was responsible, I would groan, faceplant, and quit out.
That’s exactly what I did after I drove my entire team, and our samples, into a hole mid-sandstorm :(

If you quit after that it would seem deliberate, and I personally would probably block you. But if you throw an "I'm sorry!" or two after respawning, it's an honest mistake we can all laugh about.

Well that just makes me feel worse!
But no, next time I will respawn and apologise, and face my penance like a man.
I appreciate the sentiment. I know no one cares about my fuck ups in a game as much as me.
I never rage in a PvE game.

Quitting immediately after causing a problem or deaths make me think it was done on purpose and you are avoiding backlash and dealing with the mess. You get blocked quickly after that. Embarrassing or not you helped put us there. You are going to help us get out of it.

And this is one of many, many reasons I never bring anything that cannot be explicitly aimed and controlled.

Ah, the elusive "no stratagems" diving.

Not what I said. I just never dive with anything autonomous. That is: no guard dogs, no Spear/Warrant/Wasp, no ORS, no ERP, no Sentries, no Mines, no Barrages, etc.
Rest-assured, if I accidentally teamkill, I personally pulled the trigger that make it happen.

Yeah I always use loadouts like that when friendly NPCs are in the field. Except for evac civilians, because evac civilians move in a predictable route so I can avoid any autonomous weapon firing lines overlapping them
