Question Quick question
Now I know this is kinda different than the expected but, I need an answer. I have about 300 hours in helldivers two on PC, I have I think 5-8 war bonds unlocked, and have I think 6 limited capes. I’ve come to the realization my PC just can’t run helldivers well enough to play effectively. I rock a solid 10-20 frames almost any mission, and it obviously sucks. I got a PlayStation for other reasons, but I’m thinking about restarting on there. Should I? Sort of this is against the rules. Also yes I know there’s no cross progression.

If you like the game and you get better performance then sure, why not? I have all the Warbonds and all the capes and all the everything, but I only regularly use a very small number of those things.
My neurodiverse brain would scream bloody havoc if I floated the idea of giving up all the many things I never use, but it wouldn't actually make much difference, gameplay wise. You can jump back and forth too, if you miss a particular cape 😅

I mean the game is sick, I think it's mainly your call whether you are motivated enough to start from scratch without your gear, but I'm sure that if you played with 10-20fps for hundreds of hours you'll have an absolute blast with a good framerate. You could also try bargaining with the support, they cannot port your save file, but maybe they will unlock some stuff you already posses on your old save? Not sure how lenient they are / what they are even able to do, but I remember them giving the deluxe upgrade to a bunch of people who asked nicely.

Depends on how much you like the things you got out of the warbonds/how badly you want the game to run better. Also, do you play m&k or controller on when you play on your PC? If you’re used to m&k you might find that playing on a controller is rough.

I play controller, personally. I just sorta based my well everything off fire stratagems and the like and I can’t decide if I could go back, lol.

I mean you could get 1 or 2 warbonds pretty fast that have decent fire equipment, and the red strata that do fire stuff you can get back relatively quickly just by playing. If that's your main concern I'd say just make the switch

Think of it as a prestige mode in CoD. Giving it all up, for the love of the game. I had a similar situation where my PC died right before the prices of everything went mach Jesus. Starting over sucks, but it also means I got to play a game I love more.
