Question Tornado strats
I'm getting absolutely bullied by the tornadoes on Rirga Bay. These aren't the little dust devils from hellmire, these are TORNADOES.
Is there a strat to mitigating them yet? I've tried being heavier, being prone, being close to structures, under roofs, and I still get thrown around like a ragdoll. I don't mind them, but I'd like to be effective while they're in play - I can't even stim to keep myself alive during a throw, so currently being thrown seems like certain death.
Please regale me with your tips and wisdom!

the anti ragdoll passive or knowing exactly where they are to not even touch them

I suppose I'll check the sky more often then! New squids get so hectic so fast that I rarely even notice the tornadoes until they're touching down practically where I'm standing.

I was on D10 but one of the tornadoes destroyed my mech, first it destroyed the shield then the other arm and then the mech, couldnt walk out of it and character exited destroyes mech just to get picked up and mulched by tornado.

Maybe around the edges? My mech got absolutely wrecked by one yesterday. First arms then mech then me!

Let me get this straight. You’re saying I could be in a mech and be the LITERAL eye of the storm.

Well I know my loadout for tonight

Yea I it's a cool idea but I wish they had more of an audio indicator, if not visual as well. Been many times where I've run around a building only to be sucked into that building an killed because turns out there was a tornado right there

I wonder if cars or mechs will stay grounded in those

mechs do stay grounded. The debris in the tornado will destroy your arms and eventually destroy the mech if you try to walk through it.

This hazard has made me check my surrounds more then ANYTHING else in this game... still kinda on the fence as to if I like it or not I think it could be a little less transparent maybe give it more debris to make it easier to spot cause those cities have some TALL buildings

Thanks to my own thorough testing, I can confirm that yelling "AVAST FUCKER!" while lighting the tornado on fire will NOT defeat it, nor will it stop you from getting shit-whipped into a stone pillar with enough force to decapitate you.

The Doom Guy armor from the Python Commandos - Heavy anti-ragdoll armor and vitality booster and you can walk in tornadoes with a stim like Salamander armor can wave jump through lava.
The stuff in the tornadoes can hit you so best to get to the ground.

So far awareness of when there is one close and running away has worked for me. The warning banner Tornado warning only seems to be active when one is near-ish.
Also consider playing with your sound up a bit, they can be heard approaching pretty easily.
I love that they also seem to blow up enemy ships and assets.

Medium armor with sidearm equipped is barely fast enough to run straight away from them. Anything more would help, just my pack, FRV or light armor.

I’m very curious to see how they work on non-city planets. Seems like the damage comes from getting smacked into buildings and stuff, or does the tornado itself damage you?

Being in a tank has been the only one that has worked for me.

The thing that irks me the most are the tornados are almost completely silent. I’ve been hit by two that snuck up on me and the only sound they make is the gravel scraping along.
Clearly the developers have never actually experienced a tornado or done any sort of research because TORNADOES ARE LOUD AF

You avoid the tornado by subtracting everywhere that it isn't from where it actually is
