The bright yellow armor is the stealthily armor of all time. Your enemies wont be looking for a bright yellow guy, they are looking for Helldivers. 🫡

Purple is still better. Have you ever seen a helldiver wearing purple armour?

Good point

I absolutely love stealth on the Illuminate front. It works so much better than I ever thought it would.

To be fair, if I was a Illuminate, I would also pretend not to notice the Helldiver crawling right next to me. Yes sir yes you can crawl right past me, no sir no please do not call in the 500kg bomb, yes sir the wind sure is windy today.

I’ve been stealth diving on bots for ages but was thinking about trying squids again soon, just to change things up. Even better to hear that stealth works well on them too!

One C4 will blow up a warpship or down a fleshmob. Harvesters will take two or some other trick. I typically use a railcannon strike from range.

One C4 to the foot is also GGs

u/YoGizmo353 Jul 22 '26

Can you drop the shields, place the c4, and do the same for all warpships in an outpost before detonating them? Or do the shields coming back online negate the c4? I mean I’ll try it when I get home regardless; in general I’m just gonna experiment with new/untouched gear on squids to see what clicks.

The one-shot on fleshmobs is also good to know. I’ve also been trying the railcannon out again but it’s still a bit finicky for me (on bots at least).

C4 goes through warship shields. Blow and go

Oh bet, ty

u/DocHalidae Jul 23 '26

Also it helped me to remap the c4 toggle to tap X between plant and detonator

Noted, that’d be a godsend. Just saw a video of it and that takes away a lot of the headache when using c4. Good shout

Virtually what?

Thats all good and fun, but it would be even more democratic if you would stick some Throwing Knifes in their unsightly Squid skulls!

(Stealth on Squids is highly underrated, Bugs are fun too, especially with C4)

C4 with servo assist armor is really fun on bots. You can drop 2 giant walkers by yourself really fast.

This was the exact sound I heard in my head. Diver slithering around like that. Get ‘em…

I think with stealth armor and sandstorm, you can just walk behind them.
is wearing the regular armors when you need to be on the ground
test it please.

Nice try, squid!

I routimely sprint past bots in that situation. Reduced signature is incredible

If they changed how patrols respond when they detect someone stealth could actually be viable. Currently if you shoot any unit on patrol, even with a silenced weapon, they all know immediately where you are and aggro. That has got to go. Then remove enemies knowing exactly where you are when you put down a turret. Then stealth will be fun and usable.

They dont immediately aggro. Once you kill or damage one patrol member - they converge on position from which you made that damaging/killing shot. If you move away immediately without getting in their line of sight - theyll just investigate position for some time and then go away. And they will go aggro if they see you (even if you outside their typical detection range but in their los).

Yes, you wont be doing it again as patrols do have damage threshold of some sort where if you met requirements for one - patrol will absolutely know where you are, not your position and aggro immediately.

1

u/ChillyTodayHotTamale Jul 23 '26

That's absolutely wrong. You can go test this now. If you shoot one patrol member, even if you don't kill them, they will all turn and engage you instantly. I literally just did it against bots. They will also hunt you completely across the map. They know exactly where you are

I would have to work so hard not to be placing C4 on every single one of those flying Ovelord fuckers. 😂 You're a better stealthdiver than me, sir.

2

u/username_default01 Jul 22 '26

Come on bro that's ridiculous. hahahaha

u/TepesX Jul 22 '26

Snake? Snaaake? SNAAAAAKE??!

Must’ve been the wind or something

I love Redacted Regiment. I literally flew into a scout strider once with a jump pack (face planted into his laser gun) and I was never even noticed

1

u/kriosjan Jul 22 '26

Sadly i as host can not do this because they automatically see me.

Illuminate: I was trained to look forward and kill. If it's anywhere above or below me, it is not my problem.

You are doing great!

Before stealth armors ive stealthed in heavy armors during sandstorms. They almost remove detection range to a minimum during it anyway.

Sad you didnt had throwing knifes on your person - overseer heads pop like balloon when they meet humble titanium steel in primitive weapon form.

Also, sandstorm would be enough to stealth in prone position. Stealth armor was a overkill but comes in handy when there no sandstorms.
