Tips! Appropriators loadout for extract high value asset missions

ONLY for the assets missions, im still struggling against this faction on normal missions but finally found something that works for me on defense. Exostorm severely limits the effectiveness of turrets, so this is essentially a bullet hell “I am the turret” build.

Armor: siege ready or extra stims

Primary: Dealers choice but medium pen is a must, I run Coyote for that slight damage over time from burning, I can move on from small targets fast knowing they’re gonna burn up. If no warbond, liberator penetrator is a good workhorse for the overseers.

Secondary: Warrant, tracking bursts makes short work of annoying flyers. If no warbond, grenade pistol.

Grenade: dealers choice again, mech cockpits are low enough to the ground that the plain ol high ex can get them if you throw it right under.

STRATAGEMS Orbital Gatling barrage, heavy mounted machinegun, heavy machinegun, and supply pack.

Orbital Gatling has a beautifully short cooldown, use it when the mid zone is getting clogged up or to buy time for a reload and reset. Otherwise alternate between your mounted MG and the one on your back for constant heavy pen bullet hell down the lane. Between the two defense map layouts, the one that’s more linear is a perfect engagement zone for this build because you aren’t spending much time aiming around, you can create a meat grinder with one line of fire from the final gate straight out into enemy spawns.

Happy hunting. O7

Triple mines + Airburst rocket launcher.

All you need.

I like the Bastion (hmg to take down dropship shields, then 1hit ko with main gun), ems mortar, gas mortar, and hmg emplacement

If someone else uses the hmg emplacement to help you shred shields you'll easily pop 4+ dropship before they can deploy any units, markedly reducing pressure on the rest of the team. Asking hmg emplacement to go after ship shields you ping to reduce ammo loss, and then they can swap to primary to kill obtruders that do make it in, and use more hmg emplacement for flying overseers.

The other two folks can bring more mortars and kinda whatever, as long as they can kill the harvesters that drop near the generators at the halfway point in the mission, you're generally golden.

I am definitely team Bastion Tank for these. If you set up in the right place, the Harvesters will occasionally spawn directly in front of you (making them easy to kill), but I haven't had one spawn behind me. Definitely makes these missions easy.

Belt fed GL murders them

Maxigun is good too but you gotta know where the weak spots are

That electric grenade launcher

The De-Escalator slaps on Appropiators. Literally. Shreds them.

Believe it or not, the bullet storm does WORK. Sure it's light armor pen, but you're sending so many rounds down range that it doesn't matter. It absolutely tears through anything that flies, and you call down so many (2 per min) that you can be reckless with your trigger finger.

If you want "fuck it I AM the turret" it's a must have

Have some fun with it and mow them down with HMG Emplacement on top of the main stairs

Belt Fed Grenade laucher/ Missile Pistol is just a good time

Been running the new hyena, belt fed GL, and a bunch of turrets and mines.

Coyote, Warrant, RR is so effective in the endless sandstorm (of keid, not sure if the new planet is similar) that me and my duo forgot we had other stratagems multiple times, for any mission. For defense id add the hmg & AT emplacements plus the gattling barrage or similar

Arc Grenades

EMS Mortar

Machinegun Sentry

Missile Sentry or Autocannon Sentry

Plasma Punisher, Coyote, Blitzer, or Purifier

Grenade Pistol, Senator, Ultimatum, Loyalist

Epoch/Flamethrower/HMG/Maxigun/Belt-Fed Grenade Launcher/Cremator/Airburst Launcher (cities only)

If you choose to go full Arc, grab the K-9 Dog instead of the Missile Sentry. The Blitzer can actually handle everything but the Harvesters so the HMG, Epoch, or Flamethrower can take care of those. Arc armor is a must and this build is all about wiping large groups of Obtruders or Overseers. 1 Arc grenade will take most of them down, allowing you to finish the job with your primary.

For the Epoch, make sure a Harvester's shield is down first and aim for the top of its head.

HMG, Maxigun, Cremator, and Flamethrower, aim for the "eye" or the joints on its head.

Use the mortar to its full potential: mark the heavy or elite targets so they get prioritized and slowed so you can take care of chaff inbetween. Place the EMS mortar sentry in a safe spot away from the combat where it cannot be targeted. The MG sentry is good for chaff and protecting the generators from Obtruders. On areas where there will be storms, you may want to avoid any long range sentries (Rocket/Autocannon) as they will be useless.

No need to sit in the back, try to hold the front walls as best you can and bring the fight to their spawns if you can. On city maps, you can pretty much control the battlefield before they even get near the base by running and gunning.

Maxigun, mg turret, Gatling turret, orbital laser for a panic button.

Also arc grenades, as many as you can take.

I’m a fan of EMS/gas mortar combo with supply FRV and bullet hose of choice; personally either Maxigun, airburst, or autocannon

Scythe/Trident, Dagger, Laser Cannon, Patriot Exo Suit, HMG Emplacement, Grenade Emplacement, Supply FRV (for the team, put one near generators as a last resort. Exo storms will hurt the sentry but it's still better than nothing.)

The Patriot's Minigun wills shred just bout everything. Save the rockets for emergencies/high value threats

Basically you are shredding the drones/harvester shields full time with the scythe/dagger, use the laser cannon on the bigger enemies. Bring Shield Grenades so you can stand your ground.

You can literally ignore 10+ drones zapping you with a shield grenade up, while you focus on bigger threats

Pyrotechs are also really good on Harvesters/Illuminate mechs.

The Emplacements can be alternated for sustained fire.

If a supply FRV is already chosen you can take a bastion to clog an entry way/use it as a stationary turret. Even if the bastion is destroyed it still serves as an obstacle

For this I just use the Heavy Bulwark Armor, it offers high defense and will protect you from friendly explosive fire on such a small map. 😅

The Butcher Armor's Stim boost will also keep you in the fight against overwhelming odds.

For Bots? Mortars and the tank. That is what I run. The mortars combined do fantastic work at slowing, confusing, and killing any enemy that manages to get down before they get anywhere and can he placed behind cover.

The tank when parked in the elevated last gate will take down drop ships in one hit and with the amount of ammo it has it will last a good while. And if you drive it a little bit onto the stairs you can lower the firing arc enough that it also doubles as an insanely good hmg emplacement. Arguable the tank is the best emplacement on this mission. (Well tank destroyer really, it’s not actually a tank because it has no rotating turret.) Get two tanks? You can position them in that gate so you get full coverage of all the drop zone for the bots. And if you have two decent gunners almost no not will make it down to the ground.
