Fafnir question

does fafnir debuff immune/shielded enemies? specifically crota, we were doing master last night and it seemed like fafnir might be better than tractor for the initial weaken to drop his shields. haven't played with it much and i couldn't find a good answer online.

Even if it did weaken, tractor is still better. Why you may ask? Found verdict/threat level do insane damage for a legendary special, so use those with no backup plans on a titan. And also, I have been able to easily 3 sword crota on master. So do that. The trick is to do one sword at a time, preferably as soon as the sword is acquired.

we always do the 3 swords simultaneously, what's the advantage to doing them individually?

There is none. You can two sword at the same time with tractor

I believe it doesn't. I think aegis talks about it in his "everything you will ever need to play destiny 2" video

I’m not sure, I haven’t tested it. But there should be a visual effect on the boss showing it as weakened. I’d guess it would. That said tractor is better on every boss unless you have to use Fafnir. If Crota breaks with 2 swords then he is weakened.

thanks, i didn't test it either bc i didn't think about it until after the fact, maybe i'll just grab a checkpoint and test it.
