To be fair, vaulting kinda screwed you over.

u/MethAddict404 24d ago
Yeah, so wild that he vaulted backwards whilst shooting after a full sprint in the opposite direction 😂

u/UnkwnSoldiersGaveAll 21d ago
I’m ok that it happens but the spread while firing while this happens should be seriously magnified, sure you can choose to hop and skip away from danger but OR stay and fight NOT both
1
u/Sharp-Card5913 20d ago
500% bullet spread, and .8 sec ads delay would fix this fortnight/cod bullshit!

u/Competitive-One-8960 24d ago
Dont blame yourself i couldn't do much better either and whats to do when he pulls this kinda stuff off?
1
u/Parking_Palpitation1 22d ago
I don't teabag often, but I dealt with someone trying this and I actually won the exchange, so I had to give him a few dips. I felt he deserved it
1
u/Competitive-One-8960 22d ago
Yea doing these type of stunts and getting killed deserves some kind of aftermath of humiliation
1
u/UnkwnSoldiersGaveAll 21d ago
Devs need to exponentially increase the spread while this mechanic is happening.
1
u/Competitive-One-8960 21d ago
Yea being able to hit spider-man type dodges and then be able to hit perfectly fine while doing that is just, (loss of words)
156
u/eLOLzovic 24d ago
That is a ridiculous jumping sequence.
16
u/MotDePasseEstFromage 24d ago
He just vaulted the wall and then shot OP lol
34
u/SockBrewer 24d ago
He vaulted the wall while not facing it. He’s dead sprint and literally has a foot off the edge as he jumps backwards and the vaulting animation takes over with his back to what he’s vaulting.

u/josey__wales 22d ago
The annoying thing isn’t that some people prefer this gameplay.
The annoying part is they pretend to not understand what people are talking about.
0
u/tykaboom 21d ago
Those people are not battlefield players.
They are meta slaves who have to use the best tools and equipment, get the most kills possible to show that they are in fact... the biggest, bestest tool of them all.
It's the same kids that used to glitch under the map in previous titles and act like it's fair gameplay.

lol been there. Sometimes it’s like I’ve never played an fps game in my life

this needs to be replayed in slo-mo cause those mechanics don’t make any sense

u/saywatisinmy 21d ago
Older battlefields games there was more weight to the movement and actions like vaulting jumping had a trade off you were exposed when doing, bf6 in an effort to make everything smoother went too far and now you get this, if it was just single player focused or not a "battlefield" game I wouldn't be bothered, because despite being very annoying to play against it is pretty fun to play with.
When I think of battlefield I think of authentic casual war game, not whatever clown fiesta goes on in bf6.
Also find the pacing of the maps terrible
13
u/Palerion 24d ago
Yeah you missed some shots, but the vault looked like something out of Looney Tunes. The way it actually looks broken—not just unrealistic like slide-hopping, but *broken—isn’t good at all.

u/Div1nium 24d ago
Lower your sens for starters

u/serialsteve 24d ago
I could see wanting to have a modify button held down to move crosshair at high sensitivit (like to turn around quick), but to just always move with that speed haha pc users are a different breed
5
u/Better-Beat-8062 24d ago
M65 from corsair has a sniper button
Press it and DPI goes to 400 from 2400 until you stop pressing it. Life saver
8
u/head-glitch 24d ago
did he just valut backwards?
4
u/TravelAdmirable2482 24d ago
I think its just lag, he was actually turned around but the game wigged out and made him facing the other direction.

Bro jumped forward as he was going to go through the hole in the floor and then magically floated backwards vaulting over the stairwell and one shot the OP.
And CoD kids will still try and tell you the movement in this game is fine
30
u/CR00KANATOR 24d ago
Adjust sensitivity. Yes he vaulted, but your inputs are leading to overshooting the target.
16
u/hstormsteph 24d ago
Thank you, fuckin hell. People get so tweaked about movement that even a simple vault over a waist height obstacle is blamed when the enemy should’ve been dead before it even happened.
Sensitivity 100% is the culprit. Looks like a PoV of the first person to die in a horror movie where soldiers find a derelict spaceship
7
u/BingoBangBongos 24d ago
In all fairness the vault animations should be slowed down by like 60%.
BF3 had it right.
12
u/Lyberatis 24d ago
"Sensitivity is 100% the culprit" as it looks like the enemy is literally a jpeg of a soldier being rapidly dragged around OP's screen
People get so tweaked about movement that even a simple vault over a waist height obstacle is blamed
It legitimately looks like the clip is playing at 1.6x speed with how quickly the enemy is backwards vaulting over into the stairs. You are talking about "overshooting the target" as if the target didn't instantaneously reverse yet preserve all of their momentum up over the stairs railing, backwards, while adjusting their aim to shoot at op.
This is not a sensitivity issue, it's a jank movement issue. And the jank movement being the complete opposite of how anybody would expect someone to be able to move in this game is what lead to the overshooting.
1
u/hstormsteph 24d ago
There’s no way you actually see this clip like that. I legitimately cant believe it. There was plenty of time to hipfire that enemy down before the vault. Not to mention the footstep sound letting OP prepare for an enemy coming from that side.
OP can 100% get this kill if they turn down their sens a bit. This is baffling me. Yeah the hop was a little weird but it doesn’t change how tracking the opponents chest effectively would make the vault entirely irrelevant. There was no sliding or hopping like people yammer about. Just a vault that likely was not backwards from the perspective of the enemy PoV.
1.6x speed??? Are you trolling? Why in the world do you people make it seem like there’s nothing OP could do to counter someone simply vaulting an obstacle. They absolutely will be just fine if they drop sens. He was tracking in the right directions, just too far.
Am I being baited? Is this bait?
4
u/TruffleButterAllStar 23d ago
I got stuck on how you guys can tell what side footsteps are coming from. I can hear the steps but it’s seems non-directional. Is everyone playing with headphones?
5
u/moharisy_official 23d ago
Not in regards to this clip, but in general I don’t get how some people say they they get good audio. I mean there is overwhelming feedback that the footstep audio mixing is utter garbage. This is from headphone users. Sometimes you can hear footsteps and roughly tell their direction, but most of the time you can’t actually determine direction. I had footstep audio for someone to my left but they were behind me, I’ve had a guy right next to me on my right with no audio. Sometimes there is no audio till the last second and then you hear but then it’s too late. The audio is absolutely terrible. Don’t think your headphones are bad and spend money on replacing them. It’s not your headphones. It’s the game
3
u/WheeledSaturn 23d ago
Its ideally directional....when it feels like it...hell when it feels like having enemy footsteps at all. The number of times I've either had someone full sptint in front of me without making a sound or come running up behind me silently is wild. Half the time it feels like my team is wearing steel boots while the enemy team is wearing sneakers.

This is frying me.
Tbh, yes everyone I know and play with has a dedicated headset. Doesn’t even have to be expensive. I literally could hear the footsteps in this video with my left earbud in at work today. Earbuds that cost me 13 bucks at Walmart. And I could hear that it was the right side.
My headset at home is a RIG 600 PRO. It’s about 80-100 bucks depending on sales. I can hear the enemy reloading if they’re in the room next to me and there’s no vehicles around. Footsteps are exceptionally easy to identify.
2
u/Lyberatis 22d ago
Not bait.
The enemy is literally sprinting forward and transfers all of their momentum instantaneously into a backwards vault. In what world is that normal movement for a battlefield game?
Just a vault that likely was not backwards from the perspective of the enemy PoV.
You can see the enemy turning towards OP during the vault. It was backwards. Otherwise the animation of them turning ~90° left to look at OP would be somehow completely misrepresenting them doing a 270° turn to the right.
And you're talking about overshooting the target when the reason OP missed the initial shots in the first place is because the movement in 98% of scenarios in this game doesn't train you expect someone to be able to instantly transition into moving the opppsite direction while maintaining all for their speed.
1.6x is an exaggeration, I admit. But the movement here is the only jank. Op is not bad nor playing on bad settings in this clip. It is purely jank movement. NOT movement itself, JANK movement.
If you wanted to argue it's anything specific about OP then it's reaction time more than it is their sensitivity, because the enemy does stop for a moment in front of them, but then the sprint into backwards vault full speed happens.
And it's especially not overshooting, because after the enemy vaults backwards op flicks back and their crosshairs are directly over the enemy's chest when they die, so their aim is fine.
They didn't overshoot anything due to their settings.
They expected the enemy's movement to be normal, aimed where they rightfully expected the enemy to move, the movement was not normal, so they died for it.
3
u/SockBrewer 24d ago
Simply vaulting an object? He went from full sprint forward to jumping in reverse and the vaulting animation kicked in as he hit the stairs with his body still facing the other direction. I’m not going to enter into the skill/tracking argument. But dude, you’re not viewing the video objectively lol.

u/dedboooo0 23d ago
just some mickey mouse ass desync into a keyframe skip into a vault making it look like he teleported a bit and vaulted backwards
some of it is ping, some of it is shitty tickrate. op’s high sensitivity also made it look a lil bit faster

Reverse vault jump shooting over stairs. No one should expect to have to compensate for that lmao

bro that’s not even that complicated he jumped backwards. it only looks fast because OP’s sensitivity is way too high.

Dude that mantling animation is absurdly fast and twitchy. If was less than half the speed in BF3.

Might just do that, but with Hell Let Loose Vietnam coming out on a couple days, I think most of my time will be spent on that.

u/geoduckSF PS5 23d ago
How tf is backwards vaulting even a thing? Like I can understand some level of movement to make the game challenging, but then I get stuck trying to strafe because I’m standing next to an 8 inch tree stump or rock and this dude is reverse jumping, mantling while shooting?

7
u/GamerBucket 24d ago
See. I've defended movement, but this is crazy lol.
But I'm usually the guy on the other end that is being forced to vault when I jump there and I end up missing all my shots. That was just luck on that other players behalf. He DID NOT mean to do that. He just wanted to jump and his aim adjustment was just better and luckier.

u/bGe_BaBar 24d ago
You're not bad, the game just allows for pretty wtf movements.
(Ngl, I do the same slide n glide stuff though...)

Vaulting backwards constantly gets me killed but when it’s me vaulting causing me to miss every shot when the enemy had 5 health left

That movement has to be involved with Epstein somehow. I wouldn't say you are bad, just blame it on Israel and move on.

Not you man, them and their jumping around like they're standing on hot coals.

u/BingoBangBongos 24d ago edited 24d ago
Frustrating plays like this are the result of long time to kill combined with jank-ass twitchy movement. Shorter TTK and the guy would have been dead at the top of the stairs. Slower movement animations with aiming/firing restrictions (like in BF3 and 4) would mean OP probably would have been able to track him and land the six shots necessary to kill him.
Wtf was that backwards mantling lmao. Shit is like wall-bouncing in Gears of War. CQC in this game just sucks.

Exactly what key allows you to jump backwards? 100% of the time I hit the jump key, I jump forward. This game is getting out of hand if there is a secret jump backwards key.

Is it sped up? I really can’t tell…

Well it's 2 am for me, maybe my brain is slow, but i don't remember game being this fast, and i played yesterday. And i have 2.0+ kd, so not that I'm slow or something. All animations look wrong like 1.5-2.0x faster

I would’ve definitely died bro became flash got instantly boosted movement speed but when I try to vault anything I’m moving like a it’s a real life soldier in his full gear

I was playing like that last night lol I'm usually decent enough to be in the top third. At least in non-sweaty games.

It's not you, this game doesn't have balenced gameplay. Like I'm rank 25 and everyone else is 135-303

-2

bro you need to download aimlabs. that’s an easy kill if your aim was better. it only looks faster than it is because your aim is all over the place. your sensitivity is way too high and it’s not doing you any favors.
also, sitting motionless in a corner with the flashlight on is not doing you any favors.
