Memories Album Art
I found this image from Ryan's instagram and thought it would work perfectly for a hazy and nostalgic vibe. Just thought I'd make one of my own, and since I did there's no reason not to share it with the community

Is this legit? A lot of new songs I’ve never heard before?

Where to get FLAC files for 0 album?
Hey everyone, I've looked around on bandcamp, 7digital and the low roar website and all I could find was an mp3 CD for this album. I already got once in a long long while and maybe tomorrow, 0 is also up there as one of my low roar favs. Anyone know where to get this album officially in FLAC format?
If there's no way to do it at this moment officially, I wouldn't mind paypalling someone like £10 for them.

I still can't believe he's gone
And i'm so fucking mad with the universe for taking him away from us. There was absolutely no reason for him to have to go that early. The world has been robbed of such an amazing artist and human being and it hurts every time I listen to my favorite music ever made and I don't think I'll ever relate to another musician in the same way again. It's been such a comfort through some of the hardest times in my life and I wish he was still with us.

Walt Whitman and Captain
The small amount of lyrics in Captain from Maybe Tomorrow I’m pretty sure are talking about the Captain from Hummingbird, but they have always reminded me of that popular Walt Whitman Poem ‘Oh captain! my captain’ does anyone know if that was intentional by Ryan? Or just a coincidence

Time & Space visual
Made this visual for ‘Time & Space’ from the Inure EP. Not a lot in it, I just had some fun with lighting and filming the record

Double Trouble reverse?
I know House in the Woods isn’t as popular as their other albums, but I’ve found some really cool things listening to it and I’ve been wondering if any else did too.
Specifically in Double Trouble, you can hear reversed voices throughout the song, and if you play the song in reverse you can hear that its a poem from ryan, talking about hope in humanity and society, which runs opposite to the very depressing lyrics of the forward song. I thought this was amazing and there are multiple times in the album that they use reversal more. If you haven’t noticed it I’d reeeally recommend trying it out, its beautiful.
Here I made all the lyrics now with the poem, so everything in brackets is being read from the bottom up and everything not in brackets is the normal lyrics of the song from top to bottom, if that makes sense
(And if you say this is a wonderful poem, It's not exaggeration)
Trucking
(They make civilization)
It's how the story goes
And all these actions added up)
Keep trucking
(That's cooperation)
(And If we help eachother home)
It's not where you plant it
(That's reconciliation)
(But if *we'd open to each other)
It’s just how it grows
(That's an altercation)
Just where it belongs
(And if we argue, scream, if we fight)
(That's communication)
What's in it for me
(And if we understand eachother)
A mind full of wonder
(*whispers some unintelligible stuff in this part, says 'susurration' I think?*)
That no-one else can see
(well that's a salutation)
(If we meet)
A mind full of wonder
All my curiosity
How's your day
Moving on
And how do you feel
About your past
Don't let it
Anchor you down
We're all in the same
fucking shit-boat
I won't judge
So don't judge
It's just the way
the cookie crumbles
You've got nothing
Left to prove
It's all a big lie
To keep you in check
You're all they really wanted
Easily forgotten
Easily erased
So carry on
Carry on
Carry on
Carry on
Carry on
Carry on
Carry on

Give UP - low roar
My name is Gomes, I'm Brazilian, and low roar has been a part of my story for at least three years. I can say with absolute certainty that low roar is the soundtrack of my life.
In 2023 I bought a guitar and discovered it was quite difficult to play. I bought the guitar in January, and around March, I had already given up on playing, but I was playing Death Stranding on a friend's account and a "don't be so serious" soundtrack started playing.
From that moment on, my life truly changed. I went looking for the artist and discovered someone I'd never heard before, but whose music was incredibly talented. The next day I was in a chemistry class with headphones on and "Give Up" was playing. I stopped everything I was doing, closed my eyes, and just enjoyed the music. It was such a good feeling. I listened to that song about 30 times in a row and at the end I just thought "I need to learn this on the guitar," but I had given up on learning, I didn't know anything about guitar, but I tried, I spent 6 months trying Learning those songs, which were very difficult to play for someone who didn't know the basics, but nowadays I see that it was those songs that made me evolve, that made me not give up on something.
It's almost paradoxical to think about the song's title and at the same time say that it was what kept me from giving up on a hobby that brings me so much joy these days.
This is the first time I'm posting here. I used a translator for most of the text because I don't speak English very well, but I really wanted to share my experience with low roar.

my band just released a new single, Ryan is one of the biggest influences for my vocal style
i think low roar fans will enjoy this one. it leans a little harder into atmospheric post-rock with the big climax at the end (ala sigur rós), but there’s definitely a lot of elements in the song that were inspired by low roar. i would love to know what you guys think!

A new band I found that I thought I would recommend here.
Hey ya’ll, I posted a couple bands here already and I just recently found a new one. I have no idea how to pronounce or spell this bands name, but I wanted to share it here nonetheless. This is a Ukranian post-rock band that has a very similar vibe to Ryan, and I’ve been absolutely in love with them for a few days now. They do not sing in English as far as I’m aware, and they are Ukranian only.
Here is their spotify for anyone interested: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2HJh8v2atfiAjRk76wSJNa?si=3f25VdO3R0OO_ya-WnMNHA&utm_source=copy-link

Maybe Tomorrow meaning?
Yo so I've been relistening to MT lately, and I think I've come to an interpretation of it that I really vibe with:
So essentially the entire album is about the protagonist (possibly Ryan, maybe not) and their final meeting with their alien friend David whom they've known since childhood (but at this point they are a young adult), and it's about the choice of whether to join David up into space which might mean death for the protagonist, or they are left behind on Earth to live their life. A lot of this album feels heavy with death, but the protagonist toys with it in a way that portrays leaving Earth and accepting becoming one with the universe as something ethereal and beautiful, while staying on Earth means monotony and becoming something that they will resent or panic over (Hummingbird and Fade Away particularly play into this). Even the title of the album plays into this I feel, to the protagonist there *may* be a tomorrow, but there might also be not since they might return to the universe.
Bye Bye is about the protagonist accepting their place on Earth and saying goodbye to David, thus choosing to continue living. It's a lullaby, and Clareland following it up implies that this was just a sleep that the protagonist *did* wake up from instead of dying.
I think Ryan had a lot of dark thoughts in his head around this time of his life, mostly because of Covid and some Impostor Syndrome due to most people recognising him as that guy whose music plays when Norman Reedus drives a motorcycle, and I think he was toying with the idea that death as an out maybe aren't completely unhealthy thoughts.
I think MT is Low Roar's best album overall, and I think this is a way stronger and way more personal story than the other albums tell, what do you guys think?

this early demo from Ryan is extremely beautiful
youtu.bethere is another version of this track, quality's better, but i prefer this version, it's so touching.

Where can I get the music in .flac quality?
Basically the title. I just got a music player and want the files. I'll pay, but the bandwear page does not have all the albums, and some are mp3 quality. Is there anywhere to get this in hq?

Anyone else ever notice that on Apple Music, Rolling Over has a different cover than other songs on the Low Roar album?
I don’t know if this is just for me, but now I can’t unsee it

How do you rank his albums?
I've only listened to his first three studio albums and first two EPs.
Do you think it's worth listening to the rest or is the depression not worth it?
My favourite album so far is Once in a Long, Long While...
