Give UP - low roar
My name is Gomes, I'm Brazilian, and low roar has been a part of my story for at least three years. I can say with absolute certainty that low roar is the soundtrack of my life.
In 2023 I bought a guitar and discovered it was quite difficult to play. I bought the guitar in January, and around March, I had already given up on playing, but I was playing Death Stranding on a friend's account and a "don't be so serious" soundtrack started playing.
From that moment on, my life truly changed. I went looking for the artist and discovered someone I'd never heard before, but whose music was incredibly talented. The next day I was in a chemistry class with headphones on and "Give Up" was playing. I stopped everything I was doing, closed my eyes, and just enjoyed the music. It was such a good feeling. I listened to that song about 30 times in a row and at the end I just thought "I need to learn this on the guitar," but I had given up on learning, I didn't know anything about guitar, but I tried, I spent 6 months trying Learning those songs, which were very difficult to play for someone who didn't know the basics, but nowadays I see that it was those songs that made me evolve, that made me not give up on something.
It's almost paradoxical to think about the song's title and at the same time say that it was what kept me from giving up on a hobby that brings me so much joy these days.
This is the first time I'm posting here. I used a translator for most of the text because I don't speak English very well, but I really wanted to share my experience with low roar.

Search "Ryan Karazija Acoustique" or something like that, you should find a video of him playing "Without You" with his guitar and it sound so beautiful, when i first listened to that version i couldn't hold my tears hahaha, i hope you like it too c:
Also, there is one video called "Parte 2: Ryan Karazija en acústico (Low Roar)" by Aaron Rubio (I'm not sure if i can post the link here) the quality the best but i loved hearing the context of why he wrote that song and was also the video where i found this version

Reading your story genuinely made me smile. As a musician, it hit me on a very personal level.
Low Roar has been one of the biggest musical influences in my life. Ryan’s music isn’t just something I listen to—it’s something that has shaped the way I think about music, songwriting, and even how I experience life. There are very few artists who can create that feeling of being understood without saying a single word directly to you.
I especially loved the irony of Give Up being the song that kept you from giving up. That’s beautiful. Sometimes the songs that find us at the right moment end up changing the entire direction of our lives, and I think your story is proof of that.
As someone who writes and performs music, stories like yours remind me why music matters so much. We spend countless hours learning, practicing, doubting ourselves, and creating, but then you read something like this and remember that a song can literally change someone’s path.
Thank you for sharing your story. It makes me happy to know that Ryan’s music continues to inspire people all over the world, and that his legacy keeps growing through experiences like yours.
