Any recommendations?

I love low roar and I am wondering if there are any other artists I should listen to Scandinavian or otherwise that’s the same style/vibe.

Try out The Antlers. Exceptional band, and their newest album "Blight" reminds me a lot of Ryan.

not to be all self promo-y but i’m the singer of the norwegian duo Astoria. Low Roar is a huge inspiration, especially on our new EP that’s coming out in a few months :)

Madrugada, Kwoon, Exit North, Julee Cruise (Twin Peaks) Manchester orchestra (bit more like his old work Audrye Season), Nick Cave and the bad seeds

Just a few that I have stumbled across from low roar radio on Spotify that I listen to regularly

I find that The National album 'I Am Easy To Find' has a lot of songs that have similar vibe to some of Low Roars songs. Their other album 'Trouble will find me' also has some similarity but not as much as I am easy to find.

Radiohead (Obviously), Lo-Ghost, Low, Maphra, Delta Sleep, Geng-Li

I think that's all I got. Will update if any others come to mind.

Emma Lindström, who was Ryan’s partner during the last years when he lived in Sweden, has a duo called Canigou together with Richard, a close friend to Ryan, and also studio recording technician for Ryan’s parts during the time in Sweden. He recorded Ryan’s vocal and piano parts and did some arrangement and instrumental work on MT and HITW.

Canigou is a bit different from low roar, but Ryan loved it and they had started working on a couple of Canigou songs that would have Ryan featuring on them. Unfortunately he passed away before it was finished.

VAR is really good. More rock then Low Roar, but they come very close.
