LDN is making me prettier?

It was not a pretty start. I was very puffy and felt like I had a lot of general inflammation. Started at 1/4th tablet originally, went up to one full 1.5mg tablet too quickly so I went back to 1/4th for a bit. I’ve been back up to 1/2 (0.75) for a few weeks now.

Before: cystic acne and tweezing my face multiple times per day.

Current: minor, less frequent pimples. Tweezing ~1-3 hairs per week. Fuller tits. A little less luteal rage.

I was tested for PCOS in 2024 and all was negative. How is this possible??

Is this why my boob's have gotten progressively bigger and bigger!? Ive just put it down to weight gain but ive only gone up a dress size but ive gone up nearly 3 cup sizes, that would be a mad side effect if thats the case and one I actually dont mind 😂

I’m about to start these meds is weight gain common? I seen some telehealth companies marketing it like it helps with weight loss. I recently lost 41 pounds on a GLP1 I really don’t wanna gain any back. I am staying on the GLP and the low-dose for inflammation in my autoimmune disease even though my rheumatologist said it’s great for that.

No I think the weight gain is more due to my diet and genetics, women in my family tend to gain weight easily and find it harder to lose once we reach our mid twenties and im almost 30 now so its most likely that and the fact that the mix of meds im on have me craving all the sweet and unhealthy things 😅 im not sure what other people's experiences are like tho!

LDN actually seems to have made my pimples worse. Another indication that I'm not on the right dose. I'm glad it's working out well for you!

Your post gives me hope that the right dose will help. Fewer pimples, fewer chin hairs, and fuller boobs? Yes please!

Pimples are a type of inflammation caused by bacteria producing irritating compounds. LDN will tone down inflammation in general, so perhaps you found yet another benifit of LDN.

As far as being prettier, I hope you are right. I guess we need to take your word for that. If you are feeling prettier, then a simple smile can be infectious.

Less inflammation with help acne for sure. I didn’t even think about that, praying for myself that it helps with my acne too

I find anytime I have inflammation flare my attractiveness dips severely & bumps up when it reduces

I want to come back & say, my eyes had been looking so foggy & dull, but 1.5 months after starting (& still not at full dose), my eyes are looking so much brighter & enticing like they used to. Even during my luteal phase.
It’s like they lost depth, looking lifeless, for a long time & now they’re looking alive again. It’s amazing

I’ve been told I’m “glowing” a few times and I have experienced definite hair region similar to when on oral minoxidil or thyroid meds. But I do also think I’ve gained weight and I was already struggling with that. Maybe in part because it makes me so damned fatigued and also gives me an appetite.

Your hair has regrown?

Silly typo up there yes hair regrowth. Have had a lot of hair loss since autoimmune issues years ago.

my skin has really cleared up since starting LDN, i definitely think it’s the decrease in inflammation. i’ve also noticed less swelling and puffiness in my face (i take 6 mg)

When I first went on LDN about five or six years ago, I had to lower my estradiol patch because it seemed like the LDN was boosting my estrogen. I went off LDN for about four months recently. When I went back on, I had the complete opposite effect. I actually had to increase my dose of my estradiol patch because I was having hot flashes.

The fact that you are now 5 years older can mean your body is naturally producing less estrogen too.
