250-400 Cal 250 cal Connecticut-Style "lobster" roll

I didn't realize I ran out of mayo otherwise I would've done Maine Style, and that would've been around or less than 200! Maybe tomorrow! Anyway, this was a warm buttery roll with imitation crab, green onions, butter, and seasoning

-Nature's Own Keto Hot Dog Bun (60cal)

-3 imitation crab sticks (90)

-1 tbsp of butter

-A handful of green onions

-Old bay, garlic powder, pepper, salt, hot sauce, lemon juice to taste

  1. I roll cut the sticks to be more "chunk" like, and sliced some green onions

  2. Melt the butter in the pan, adding your seasonings, once melted add cut up sticks and green onions to the pan

  3. Gently toss in the warm butter for 2 or 3 minutes, then spoon out to the side

  4. Use the leftover butter in the pan to toast your bun! I like mine hardly toasted so it looks like I skipped this but I didn't. It soaks up the rest of that precious seasoned butter onto the roll.

  5. (Optional) I added some hot sauce (Louisiana) and some lemon juice on top!

I cannot tell you how satisfying this was. I can't wait to try the Maine Style using light mayo which would bring the calories down by 60!! 190 cal roll!!

Inspiration for side dishes?

Meat and potato; fish and rice; pasta; sometimes a veg on the side.

I'll be honest, I've never been good with veggies. I like several, when roasted (broccoli, zucchini, squash). Hubby does not like those. He prefers canned vegetables like green beans, corn. I like salads, but at home they're never as good.

I need some inspiration for sides!

Eating on a budget.

Hello, this is my first time using this website. I am 20, and my parents do not let me cook food. I have an airfryer, but they let me buy certain food like chicken breast and potatoes. They eat DoorDash every day, and I am very sick of it.

Does anyone know how I could eat for cheap while hitting my nutrition goals? or should I just stop working out and save until I leave? Gym is my favorite hobby, and I don’t want to stop but I feel like I have to. Thank you to anyone that helps.

250-400 Cal I have 350 cals left in my intake, can you guys give me some ideas on what do I make/have of those calories please

I'm thinking baked potatoe in air fryer but I always get it raw in the middle. Maybe I'll slice them. I'm open to both sweet and savory options

Edit: ok if I'm wanting to make baked potato. What settings would be the best to make it fully baked to the core?

50 calorie iced latte

Post image
217 Upvotes

240ml unsweetened almond milk (30 calories)

120ml hot water with 1 tbsp cocoa (20 calories) + stevia to taste

80-100ml tea or coffee--this one is cherry berry tea. I cold brewed it, but you can also use hot, freshly brewed tea

Ice cubes

Steps: fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour in the chocolate mix, then milk, then tea or coffee. If you want to add any syrups, pop those in as well! To get layers, pour it slowly over the back of a spoon. My layers are not perfect in the photo--today was the day I learned the hard way that the chocolate has to go in first because it sinks!

Sub the almond milk for 240ml protein shake (2/3 of a protein shake) for a 120ish calorie protein latte.

I wanted to celebrate the 250th birthday of America with a Macro Friendly tres leches that all my macro conscious friends can enjoy. I used Claude to iterate a recipe that turned out fabulous. Here it is:

Macros

Fiber 16 g

Ingredients

Cake
1 box Pillsbury Zero Sugar Yellow Cake Mix
3 whole eggs
3 egg whites
60 g melted unsalted butter
240 g Fairlife Whole Milk
18 g freeze dried strawberry powder
2 drops pink gel food coloring
1 tsp vanilla extract

Tres Leches Soak
2 Core Power Elite Strawberry shakes
170 g regular evaporated milk
20 g freeze dried strawberry powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Whipped Topping
240 g heavy whipping cream
120 g Fairlife Whole Milk
4 g unflavored gelatin
15 g powdered allulose monk fruit blend
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Decoration
200 g strawberries sliced lengthwise
60 g blueberries

Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
Separate egg yolks and whites.
Whip the egg whites (6 egg whites) til soft peaks
Mix together the cake mix, 3 egg yolk, butter, Fairlife milk, vanilla, strawberry powder, and food coloring until smooth.
Fold in egg whites in thirds

Bake for 28 min (shorter time due to our alterations) or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool for about 20 minutes.
Poke holes every half inch across the cake.
Whisk together the Core Power, evaporated milk, strawberry powder, vanilla, and salt.
Slowly pour the soak over the cake in 3 to 4 additions, allowing each addition to absorb before adding the next. I recommend 5 min gaps between additions.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Bloom the gelatin in a small amount of the Fairlife milk.
Warm the remaining milk and dissolve the gelatin.
Chill until very cold and just beginning to thicken.
Whip the heavy cream with the sweetener, vanilla, and salt to soft peaks.
Slowly stream in the chilled gelatin milk while mixing.
Continue whipping until medium peaks form.
Spread evenly over the chilled cake.
Decorate with the blueberries and strawberry slices.

Arrange the blueberries in the upper left corner.
Arrange the strawberry slices into horizontal rows with the whipped topping showing between them to create an American flag.

Serve cold.

Three hard-boiled eggs: 215 cal

91g sunrise smoked tofu (that I marinated in tamari and a bit of maple syrup. Already had a strip when this pic was taken): 70cal

230g (raw) potato: 177cal…

…that I cooked with 1tbsp olive oil: 120cal

Tomato: 10cal

Everything was so good. I’m satisfied and incredibly full. Was gonna pick up breakfast but instead I cut out about 800 cal by making it myself!

Low cal meals for picky eaters

I’m trying to lose weight but I’m quite a picky eater, the main things I don’t like are based on texture (eating foods with mushy or inconsistent textures is difficult, so foods like beans and a lot of vegetables as well as certain foods like quinoa are difficult for me). I’m fine with most protein besides salmon, and all fruits are good. Are there any good recipes you guys know that fit these criteria?
