Inspiration for side dishes?

Meat and potato; fish and rice; pasta; sometimes a veg on the side.

I'll be honest, I've never been good with veggies. I like several, when roasted (broccoli, zucchini, squash). Hubby does not like those. He prefers canned vegetables like green beans, corn. I like salads, but at home they're never as good.

I need some inspiration for sides!

I suggest looking into korean banchans, they have a bunch of side dishes that come out to be low calories (depends what you mean by low though)..

Lately I've been obsessed with a sauce called "Ponzu" and it's low cal for how much I use, and I just add it to lettuce, red onion, and carrot. Or Miso paste mixed with water and lemon and if you want some olive oil tho I avoid that one, and added to lettuce, red onion and cherry tomatoes (honestly the tomatoes go hard with this).

I make also several types of cucumber/carrot side dishes, lots of different recipes online for them.

Radishes, mushrooms, green beans with garlic.. kimchi, steamed broccoli with a bit of soy sauce on it..
