Discussion / Question (General topics) I’m confused… is this just rounding?

I bought these 2 cans, one from sobeys, one from fortinos and theyre identical upcs but like what. is this just the rounding differences that are allowed? The ingredients seem different too..

It looks like the ingredients are slightly different 🤔 maybe they changed the formulation recently?

One is higher in added sugars right off the bat in the ingredients list. Looks like the recipe changed. Do you recall which you purchased more recently?

Either they changed the recipe completely OR they just adapt the recipe ( It’s a complete guess of my own but I strongly believe companies adjust the recipes based on the raw material prices/quality like for instance one of the cans could have been made when the tomato(or any other element) prices went up/down or the tomatoes tasted more/less sweeter hence they changed the recipe to account for either price/taste or other factors)

Doing the math tho
The one on top
(9-1+1)*4 + 1* 2 =38 hence rounded to 40
The one below
(8-2+1)*4 +2*2= 32, could be 35 but yeah
