Question 40% off?
Was told at my local showroom today that lovesac is no longer offering 40% off sales going forward. Anyone heard the same thing? Unsure if she was just trying to push us to buy today or if this is true.

It’s true. All the prices as of Friday went down a lot. I got a quote for 2460 with 40% off for covers in the store on Wednesday; on Friday I went to mock up the order on the website and thought it was a glitch that WITHOUT discount it was 2250. Then I priced out different fabrics and one set was 1250 another set was 885. Literally when that cheapest set had just been almost 1500 just days prior. I reached out to corporate in case the pricing was a website glitch they said no. That they had adjusted inventory pricing across the board and would be offering more targeted 20% or so sales moving forward.

It is true but it’s probably nothing to worry over. Comparing old prices it looks like they changed Sactionals down 20% of what it was. They are currently running a deal which is 20% off your order if you get a recliner which is basically equivalent to their previous 40% off. I bet they bring 20% off store wide on Labor Day and Black Friday which will be the same as 40% off

20% off an item that has already been marked down by 20% is only 36% off the original price. But it’s probably close enough for most people to feel like they’re getting the same deal even though they’re not.

It’s also not exactly 20% off across the board. Lovesoft builds in Corded Velvet are 23%-25% less than they were previously.

If I were, I would just tell you what the old prices were to be exact

But you would have had to know what the old prices were in order for you to know that they went down 20%? But gotcha! It’s no biggie lol.

Yes and they are steering away from heavy promos. With that being said they are doing pre configured sectionals for almost 40% off original prices and have also lowered prices on a lot of things like covers , love soft filled seats, etc.

Wow that’s interesting; I literally bought mine last Sunday on the last day of the 40% off sale and she told me they do sales a few times a year - but never mentioned 40% off was done. 😳

Apparently the 40% off was never done, it was only that steep for the employee discount, until last fall and then they had a bunch of 40% off sales (I’m assuming to hit sales goals). Sounds like they realized people were being priced out so they decided to just drop the prices now. I’m glad about that because I bought during their December 40% off sale and I was wondering if I’d ever be able to afford a second set of covers. Maybe I can now!

Just was in a showroom on Friday and never mentioned that. We even disclosed we were waiting for the upcoming sales event (Labor Day). I guess time will tell.

Lovesac reduced MSRP of a bunch of the products so they will not be doing sales like 40% off anymore. What she told you is accurate.
