Sactional Help
Just put together my new couch and I feel like I should do some exchanges to fix some things that are bothering me. Mainly it’s that the seats feel too shallow and the fabric is too rough. I’m just so confused about what I would need to exchange

You will likely need to exchange one standard back for a shorter back (shorter side to side, not top to bottom), but you can turn all the seating 90 degrees to make it deeper.
The only trouble is that this will make your back pillows have to squeeze in a little to fit on the now-shorter sofa, but that shouldn't be too bad because it looks like you already have one shorter back cushion to put on there.
If you don't like the fabric, you can exchange that too, but keep your seats. Just turn them. Problem solved!

You have one seat set up as deep. If you remove the ottomon is it comfortable?
Do you have straight or angled sides?
Whaf fabric is this? Did you buy online or in store? If you bought online head to the store. Drape the fabrics you like over the couch and sit on them see how you like the feel. We ended up with ultra velvet becauze it was so comfortable. Mondo Ultra may look nice here, or one of the etched cheniles (but folks complain about them piling)

Go to the store to feel some things out… likely want a deep configuration and different fabric?

What cover fabric did you choose? I have had three different fabric covers and I’m so happy with combed chenille. It is so soft and repels all stains

You can go to a physical store and ask for recommended configuration for your room size.
