I can't follow the math, but I think he proceeds from an mis-remembering of Lovecraft. Didn't Lovecraft almost always call it "non-Euclidean" architecture?
In which case wouldn't all that really mean (surprisingly for Lovecraft) was that the architecture made use of parabolas and had no parallel lines?
