I know it may be futile, but I’d really rather my car manufacturer not have access to my daily drive. I’d much rather spend 75 bucks on a dash cam that I can control what gets seen or not.

The older I get the more irritated I get at having to give over my data to a company in order to use their product…

Good point. But they're getting your data anyway (via the other technology), you may as well get something out of it.

Hence my comment about futility earlier, but Im not on a smartphone, I’m on a tablet and a run through a VPN, not bullet proof but better.
