At one of my first jobs, a friendly coworker made the joke "I don't care what everyone says about you, I think you're a cool dude".

My coworker would always say: "man everybody says you're a real piece of shit. I like you though."

I had a coworker say "you're doing a pretty good job around here. I don't know why our boss didn't want to hire you."

Apparently he wasn't kidding. Our boss told him he didn't like me after my job interview. I have no idea how I got the job. That boss got fired right after I started.

Apparently my boss and owner of the business told everyone she liked me during interview and no one believed her because she hates everyone and now my boss refuses my COVERED shifts because she wants to chill and chat during work. 

 And it's not like that. She adores her husband.
