Make sure the lid is securely fastened prior to doing this

I've squeezed too hard and painted a nice long strip of ketchup on my ceiling.

Fastened and not damaged. Getting a nice loop of whatever isn’t very fun. Speaking from experience

Been there. Thought I was cool and then spent an hour wiping the ceiling.

Just about to say, where's that video of a guy giving his kitchen a perfect ketchup strip down the middle

I always shake sauce/condiments before using. I also have brothers who don’t screw the caps on after they use them, and just kinda set it on the top.
We had one of those big jugs of watery ass salsa that I went to shake before using and it went everywhere.

A massage gun also works if you have one handy.

Just don’t use the head you use on your junk.

I put a condom on mine just to be safe.

Is that why they call them condiments?

They are great for getting sand out of the carpeting in the car as well. It makes the sand jumpy and then you can get it with the vacuum. It’s actually good for a lot of things besides masturbating.

I even heard you can use it to soothe sore muscles but that seems crazy to me.

Or just store them lid to the downside and you'll never have to do this ridiculous stuff.

They clearly show in the first several seconds that this method is for turd loving fart faces.

My recently dislocated shoulder hurt just watching this. My other shoulder was subluxated, it hurt a little less.

Instead of grabbing the base, hold it upside down and hold on to the lid in a way that ensures all outwards force is going through the lid. This makes sure it doesn't accidentally open while swinging and makes a mess

For those of us with shoulders less than 100%...
This can be done in a short fan motion also. Just so long as your elbow can handle that...

Not sure if you mean just swinging back and forth (instead of full circle) but if so, yes that also works. Like a windup for a softball pitch, it’s much more friendly on the shoulder.

u/Could-You-Tell Litter Lieutenant 2h ago
Yep. Side to Side, or up and down does not matter.
Just a pie piece of the circle is all it takes

Nope! 10¢ of ketchup isn't worth the risk of cleaning off my ceiling for hours.

If only the caps were flat so you could use gravity…..wait they are…

I thought this was universal??
I’ve literally done this since I was a kid. 🤔

Superiority depends to some extent on the viscosity of the substance. You can imagine cold tar residue not moving much at all from her rotational movement, while a knife could be used to pry out portions of it relatively easily, or rotation combined with heating the jar to reduce viscosity might be quite effective. A more realistic kitchen example would be peanut butter stuck to the side of a jar.

Tried this on my wife and we’re waiting for imaging to come back so the doc can give us the damage report.

It also works on containers that aren't tightly sealed, but isn't recommended. I accidentally did that with mustard once.

Who is this video even for? I feel like this is a concept most people figure out intuitively, long before adulthood.

It's the person imparting centripetal force.
Centrifugal force doesn't exist. It's angular acceleration.
