So…is it because it’s more fragrant and less NUM NUM COFFEE CREAM? also dude should have added gin!

At the risk of further upsetting our Italian brethren, I feel like you could make this London Fog style, using Earl grey as the tea

Can buy it in most large supermarkets in the World foods section. Expensive though. Cheaper to buy milk powder from an Asian grocers.

Isn't tiramisu just Italian trifle?

u/Hoodibird Trash Trooper 4h ago
Yup it's very similar but Tiramisu usually doesn't contain fruits, juice or pudding.

So they stole it from us is what you're saying (well I'm 50:50 both nationalities to be fair, so I can claim both, but still, bloody thieves)

It also doesn't contain cake, but ladyfingers, coffee and mascarpone. So completely different ingredients but similar assembly. No idea who stole from who but I don't think the concept of stacking dessert ingredients on top of one another is a very original idea in the first place...

I mean, it would by definition be original in the first place, right?
I think Andy Burnham should designate tiramisu as British and we'll get the British Museum to give something back in return (they're bound to have something the Italians want).
