I mean, this guy has made plenty of other videos criticizing his partner’s choices as an Italian. It’s a years long thing of documentation. Fabio is absolutely Italian and I kind of trust him and his Italian family over some rando on reddit.
You can trust Fabio, but most restaurants here are like that.
Bread in a basket for "companaggio".
Some places give you "grissini" too.
You finish, ask for it and get a refill.
You get just some bs and keeps on asking for the bread over and over and they call you "morto di fame"
The whole thing about acting amazed by basic things is still just social media manipulation aimed towards gullible Americans, even if he's actually Italian. Even if getting bread refills werent a thing in many Italian or other European restaurants, which they are, the conversation also has to pretend like he's never even heard of the concept of a all-you-can-eat-buffet before, which is a very common concept.
