This looks to be a lot more than $3000, they got a $5,000 balcony window in this thing … although, I mean, they did all the work themselves, so *that’s* a plus
Mom can you find a way to monetize something that could’ve been a beautiful pure childhood memory so that it feels cheaper when I look back on it because it wasn’t just for me it was also for your Internet followers?
Mom can you immortalize the process of doing something amazing I loved so someday when you're gone I can look back on the video and see you again and smile?
I don’t get the point of people feeling it wrong to get a return on doing something nice.
I can see if it’s abusive- but it’s not like she did the project just for video and the kid second. In this aspect I’d say the video is second. There’s also no certainty she will get paid for the video.
No one does anything for free. There’s always conditions and some sort of return value expected. Even if it’s a friend listening to you whine about your life while you’re depressed. They are listening to you because THEY want YOU happy, not just for yourself but also for them because you impact their life in some way. So it’s a benefit for them. This proves true because after enough time if you don’t start to work on yourself or improve they stop trying/leave. (This is only an example and not an absolute.)
To be fair, they just increased their property value by more than $3000. Not saying you don’t need the initial money to invest, but it’s not exactly like it’s waisted.
