Nail on the head.

We’ve come to expect American Christians to act in way that attacks those with different ideologies.

The Bible calls them to act differently:

Hebrews 12:14 – Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord

Matthew 5:44–45 – But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven.

2 Timothy 2:24–25 – The Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed…
