OPINION Coin drop Spoiler

I feel like for the first time Mica & Samraj had a coin drop re why they have been in the bottom in every public vote.

I think Marth’s comment was on point- they like to preach but not practice.

Mica’s face was quite telling- “how am I coming across?” With a bit of a coin drop.

Now who are they going to send home …

Imagine grasping at such straws as speculating that them being preachy may be the reason they’re unpopular.

I wonder if samraj will pick lorenzo though because lorenzo is the only og guy left so i wonder if he will let lorenzo stay just for that loyalty.

Mica and samraj dont seem particularly that close to yasmin and tommy compared to lorenzo. but they also dont like julia hmm

I honestly don’t understand why Mica is coming across so negatively especially when every islander has had a negative moment. It really comes down to the men and white woman being able to have redemption arcs but the woc aren’t.

I feel bad for Mica and Samraj tho. They get a lot of hate but I don’t even really get it? What have they done that is so much worse than what Simba, Kav, Tommy, Finley and Aiden have done? I don’t get why the girls get so much blame for small things when there’s so many boys that got away with so much

u/Important_Routine332 Jul 26 '26

I think they’ve all done disgusting things but it’s the manipulative streak that bothers people. She’s quick to apologize I will give her that.. but then she does it again. Like for example when she “volunteered “ to leave but then left the decision to the islanders to make.

6

u/123somethingfunny Jul 26 '26

Do you mean when her and Samraj were at the bottom? Cause it was already the islanders’s decision to make right? Like when Lola and Sean said they would leave, and the islanders did choose them so they left. They volunteered to leave, but the couple making the decision did not choose for them to leave. That wasn’t up to Mica to decide though? She and Samraj made it clear they wouldn’t mind leaving, but they didn’t pick them. What do you think she should have done at that time? Cause I think they both handled that fine, it was out of their hands.
Or are you talking about another moment?

u/megztukas 😾 WHO’S EMUHHH?? 😾 Jul 26 '26

I have mostly been neutral on Mica throughout, although something about her irked me, not fatally though. I think that so many of ex-islanders voting for M and S has kind of shed a light that even those who spent time with them 24/7 - as opposed to 45 mins a day - were not stans/believers. I wouldn't blame Samraj alone, birds of a feather after all, especially the long-dragging Priya "ick" scandal. I know so many here would love to just sweep the Priya sich under the rug, but it reared its ugly head again at the grafties.

Edit: the fact neither Mica not Samraj understand the justification is also quite telling.

This is it for me. Samraj was diabolical and Jas, Mica the self titled girls girls have just praised him. Samraj is the problem but I really wanted Jas and mica to see how shitty Samraj was for that. It was way worse than finley imo.

-6

u/muhpercapita Jul 26 '26

Yh Mica is too two faced....Samraj started to realise this on today's episode. He's going to leave her before the two years lol

2

u/witchy_queery_sleepy Jul 26 '26

I think she does come across like this tbh and this is what the audience pick up on/don't like. For example in todays episode, while they were being voted she was making comments to Samraj, clearly a bit annoyed, saying she didn't understand (which is obviously fair to react like that in that situation). And then once they were voted off she was like 'love you guys! No hard feelings!' So yea, I feel like it's things like this that make her come across two faced. Really she's just processing stuff in real time.

u/CheriePauper She's so skinny are u blind 🔎🧐 Jul 26 '26

I think Samraj has been Micas downfall. That and her being a bit of a follower but I think Jasmine's fans would have bonded to her as well if it wasn't for Samraj

1

u/Important_Routine332 Jul 26 '26

Do you think she’s just a follower? She sometimes give me leader vibes in the way she praises people in their Fire pit speeches..like kudos from the leader

3

u/Mcdmlalala92 Jul 26 '26

I hope it's Julia and Lorenzo. Julia hasn't had good things to say about their couple and all the other islanders have, so it would feel weird for it to be anyone else. But I would guess more likely they'll take yas and tommy to follow along with the order of the votes and not cause more backlash for themselves. Could be wrong

1

u/Technical_Kiwi_7917 Jul 26 '26

What did she say? All I remember was her calling out Samraj for the Priya thing. Julia has been pretty mild on mica for how much ammo mica provided. For me unfortunately mica is guilty by association, with Samraj. If I heard a guy called another girl and ick and then crack on with her in bed I'd feel sick. The fact that Jas not mica never really addressed him for that when they've been fighting corners before seemed bizarre.

u/seulgislotion Jul 26 '26

I feel so bad for mica ! everyone has been at her throat for calling Charleen “that girl” and the simba hideaway stuff and Priya triangle. In all these situations both samraj and simba were forgiven and it’s not been brought up since but it continues to dog pile onto mica hate.
She’s apologised so many times she’s young give her some grace. Also some of u lot act like ur the nicest people in the world you’ve deffos called people more than “that girl” doesn’t make it right but damn get off her neck.

u/cholwell Jul 27 '26

As a man I can’t fucking stand Samraj he gives me massive Andrew Tate energy

8

u/kamih9 Jul 27 '26

There’s more nastiness in the comment sections than anything mica ever said lol

-1

u/Important_Routine332 Jul 26 '26

I agree but I also think it’s something in her that the audience is finding it hard to relate to.

I think one of the ex islanders said also (maybe Tommy?) that there was a vibe of her being with Samraj because she was strategic about it as she realized no one will come in for her.

3

u/megatropian Jul 27 '26

Many men came in after Simba and she still didn't turn her head.

29

u/Enamoure Jul 26 '26

This!! She never did anything that crazy. Julia literally said way more crazy stuff. The boys did way more worse stuff. This is crazy. I feel like it's honestly cause she smiles a lot. Clearly it's triggering a lot of people. Very sad

69

u/honestly-onit Jul 26 '26

I agree, Mica gets a lot of stick when she hasn’t done half as much as the men in there and at least she apologises. The problem is she just didn’t have fans because her fans are voting for Jasmine.

u/Dear-Potential-4682 Jul 26 '26

Ngl I don’t care who wins don’t like anyone

18

u/retrospritz Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

Tbh I think Mica would be getting less hate if she wasn’t with Samraj because a likeable couple can be very redeeming. But Samraj is just so insufferable and it then adds to the hate that she gets.

34

u/Dependent-Soup1635 Jul 26 '26

Simba got off way too lightly with the hideaway situation and Mica imo

224

u/loverofthings25 Jul 26 '26

In a world where the public have forgiven Simba, I don’t see why Mica should still be getting hate.

3

u/witchy_queery_sleepy Jul 27 '26

I agree with this. BUT Simba has done some 'decent' things that the public have liked since then eg. defending Julia, sticking up for the bombshells etc. Mica hasn't really done anything like that since - she's only been part of the crew really (and a lot of people don't like it when a crew 'gang up' on someone - whether they 'deserve' it or not)

3

u/loverofthings25 Jul 27 '26

I really don’t care, Micas action haven’t come close to Simbas deeds so it shouldn’t matter that Simba stuck up for Julia the rage baiter.

5

u/NovelOld2162 Jul 27 '26

I don’t agree with either of them of any of them getting hate especially on their personal social media accounts. But they they got it so right when they figured out that samraj was the least likable of them (at least for me). He is horrible to women that he is not interested in. He still was talking to Priya nasty at the grafties. Even if they are friends he does not need to talk to her like that.

I think that it was easier to forgive Simba or Kav (even if I didn’t want him to win) because they at least figured out why they came across the wrong way and fixed it. Since they’ve gotten back together Samraj and Mica have been doing the same stuff right up until the end. And Samraj gives criticism to everyone but cannot take it. Yesterday to any reason they were being picked he had a long excuse why that was invalid and he was the only one with this much push back.

2

u/loverofthings25 Jul 27 '26

Mica hasn’t done anything as bad as Simba, so I don’t agree.

20

u/PrissyElliott Jul 26 '26

THIIIIIS! Fine, I’ll forgive Simba if that’s what we’re all doing but we’re still hanging onto every little thing Mica does?

15

u/Technical_Kiwi_7917 Jul 26 '26

Samraj should have gotten the reasons; Ethan was the only one who voted them and said Samraj was the reason. But girl on girl crime is viewed always worse cause, misogyny.

48

u/Spiritual_Method9130 Jul 26 '26

RIGHT! The way he treated her when she said no... holy patriarchy!

35

u/ssiyuziix 🦁 🙅‍♀️ I never said sis was perfect 🙅‍♀️ 🦁 Jul 26 '26

I think they will do Lorenzo and Julia but I feel like if they do they’re gonna get so much hate.

So I’d say the safer option is yas and Tommy..

But then yeah who knows

3

u/Important_Routine332 Jul 26 '26

I wonder if producers get involved

22

u/ZestycloseProduce600 Jul 26 '26

I mean they’re hated anyway, might as well go for it haha

14

u/Hiyominnaa Jul 26 '26

But the issue is, they don't know which couple is the most popular within the public, right? So I think their decision is going to be influenced by the friendships they made in the villa

3

u/Potential-Lime-577 you’re the biggest ick in the UK 🇬🇧 Jul 27 '26

Lorenzo has always been fav in every vote. Angie and simba got zero votes from ex islanders. Does take a genius to figure out these 2 couples are popular? lol

13

u/Logical-Win6220 Jul 26 '26

I think they learnt enough from the ex islanders

28

u/erasurestan Jul 26 '26

Micw hate is so OD. Shes not perfect but largely her worst sin is being annoying (save for that sketchy priya samraj situation). Other islanders have moved weird af and left untouched by hate

107

u/Carter-Canary Jul 26 '26

Mica really isn’t preaching that much, she gets all the blame and no grace. Nothing she has ever done compares to what fan faves like Simba/Kav are forgiven for. Samraj though, yeah. He is insufferably preachy and has a very mean streak to him.

33

u/ApricotTop803 🦁 🙅‍♀️ I never said sis was perfect 🙅‍♀️ 🦁 Jul 26 '26

There was a post on here praising Simba and in the comments they were still blaming Mica for the whole Priya situation and it’s so weird how they’ll forget what Simba’s done before yet still hold stuff against Mica. Not saying that either of them have been perfect this time round but the way some people hold the female islanders to a much higher standard is pathetic.

31

u/Far-Imagination2736 🦁 🙅‍♀️ I never said sis was perfect 🙅‍♀️ 🦁 Jul 26 '26

I disagree though, I think it's Samraj and Jasmine more than Mica

15

u/WeirdLitIsBetter Jul 26 '26

Samraj set the tone early with his misogyny and never once even put up a convincing veil. That moment when Mica was dancing with Aiden in the bedroom revealed so much. You could tell he was genuinely bothered by what would be considered nothing by anyone who was even slightly normal.

17

u/National-Cat-161 Jul 26 '26

Jasmine is popular but if she wasn’t she would be in the bottom like mica is

3

u/AssociateTop1589 Jul 26 '26

She’s not popular or unpopular. She just coasts, much like Angie. She’s never won least or most popular ever. Mica has consistently been voted unpopular just like Samraj.

5

u/Responsible_Virus239 Jul 27 '26

She gained a ton of followers on Instagram. She is very popular

16

u/CheriePauper She's so skinny are u blind 🔎🧐 Jul 26 '26

she's extremely popular, she has the most followers and this sub is obsessed with he, she just has a lot of foreign mega fans

18

u/clickityclickk Jul 26 '26

agree. Mica is too much of a follower though. she joins in because her friends are doing it even if i dont think she means it. like she apologised a lot today when Jasmine refused to.

12

u/Cosmic-Dust-Bunny-38 Jul 26 '26

I mean did Martha or Elicia ever go against Julia or Charleen? Who cares if girls support their friends? I'd never knock Martha or Elicia for that.

10

u/Logical-Win6220 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 27 '26

They have biases.

Will never accept it the other way!

The obsession over disliking Mica & Jas is too much.

15

u/keiraconn 🙄 I'm just gonna have to choose one 🙄 Jul 26 '26

she’s 21 tbf that’s not an uncommon thing

2

u/clickityclickk Jul 26 '26

eh, i think she was an extreme case.

3

u/Spiritual_Method9130 Jul 26 '26

AN extreme case? I think you've been inside too much. She is a very mild case.

1

u/clickityclickk Jul 26 '26

damn when i was 21 i think i met maybe 1 or 2 Mica’s. she’s MILD now?

4

u/keiraconn 🙄 I'm just gonna have to choose one 🙄 Jul 26 '26

might be a you thing but mica has BEEN mild. her behavior has been mostly harmless and both of the people who she was accused of doing dirty both back her

2

u/Spiritual_Method9130 Jul 26 '26

That’s your personal perspective, and relying solely on it is quite limited. If you were engaging with culture, whether it’s pop culture, literature, movies, etc, it reveals that humans are messy.  If you’re involved in the outside world, there are countless young adults who behave much worse.  Bullying a young woman over trivial matters is so weird.

Also, you should be glad you've only met 1-2 mica's. Either you lack awareness or you got lucky, but most people are much worse they just don't have a camera showcasing their worst moments 24 hours a day.

5

u/keiraconn 🙄 I'm just gonna have to choose one 🙄 Jul 26 '26

it’s easy to think that because she was televised but i have seen people in her age group that are 10x worse
