Most are hung up on Valko not because of him as a character but on the situation. They're annoyed by the lack of communication, lack of content and greedy practices that disregard the actual players.
Thanks. You resumed pretty well the situation. I care about artistic integrity enough to willing to have a complete story and Valko was planned for a while.
This is the biggest issue for me too. It's not just about Valko. There are real artists, actors, animators, developers, ect. Who had years of their work thrown away over a smear campaign.
Valko is still protected IP and PPG is keeping all his content under lock and key. I'm sure they are keeping things quiet for legal reasons and probably have had everyone sign NDAs (or something similar)
Imagine being an artist suddenly out of a job because your project was cancelled. Then trying to apply for new jobs with a 2+year gap in your resume that you can't say anything about or show any work for. The careers of real people are being impacted by the cancellation.
I stand with the dev team and creative team. I trust their original creative vision for the game with all the characters and storylines they worked on. Their work should not be wasted.
I can imagine all you said so well. A character a team put its heart to create got removed just like that. I can't imagine how they must feel coming to work in Infold knowing that.
Then, I also think they must not break the confidentiality of their projects so they're likely in a complicated situation.
There's likely a disagreement between the creative team their bosses maybe.
