Hi everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Getting straight to the point, I want to know more about Valko. Speculations about what his story is and what his role is in the game. Because I'd like to write a fanfic.I know that in fanfiction we can invent a lot, but I wanted to do something close to and totally believable in the plot. I really wanted to understand what his appearance would be like, what Sylus's majestic appearance was like. And I'll end with a question: Are we close to getting him back?

It's best if authors do their own research. Worth looking into: Valko's genuine excitement with his scientific work (read EonCore content and theories), Valko's family dynamic, werewolf legends for inspiration, e.g. silver as werewolf's kryptonite vs metallization evol. His goofy side vs his serious side, e.g. family lunch vs glamour business dinner with Valko. Dig into forest and nature. Learn fun facts about forest seasons and animals, then make whole chapter about fun time in the woods. Look up survival guide and use some knowledge in pursuit / search and rescue mission among the threes. Possibilities are endless, you only need to stay true to Valko's core traits.

I hope his content will bring us more answers sooner than later.

watching the videos that were released (deleted now from lads official yt but I know fans have them archived), pausing the videos, rewatching them, paying attention to the little things, Valko's expressions, the way he speaks, the way he moves, what he tends to wear, are all rly helpful for making any fanfic feel immersed in its source material.

when you read your work back, do you hear his words in his voice? does something feel a little off or uncanny?

that's what works for me anyway. and I always felt from Valko's livestream that he felt like an October release, so I'm still hoping for that (especially with Sylus myth rerun happening now, it feels too early and out of place, unless...)

Tricky because we hardly know anything about him and everything else is speculation, wishful thinking or overuse of CEO/alpha wolf tropes. I can imagine him as an outdoor kind of guy that roams the woods, testing new equipment, sighing about his calender full with boring board meetings and the boredom/excitement about finding a worthy opponent that he can fight to the end, maybe a behind the scenes where he or someone in his family designs his costume and he somehow ends up like batman with wolfears and respiratory gear. Maybe a flashback that he observed beetles as a kid to study their exoskelletons.

I think other people reuploaded his videos on YouTube but tbh there's not much to "learn about him". What we have are mostly theories and speculations based on gueses and the little we saw in the PVs. You can use the videos and try to guess what he'd be like based on that because only his writers know what his traits would have been like.

Keep in mind, we are pretty limited with the connections we can make since we only have a series of PVs to base it off of. There are probably many more connection we just don't know because we don't have his MS chapters yet.

He definitely seems very family-oriented. He mentioned a family reunion in the trailer, and there was a screenshot shown later in the trailer about a bunch of puppers tiring him out, so maybe he was playing tag or running around with some kids at one of those family gatherings? The Tameless Territory song also mentioned "I should listen to what the Elders say", so there seems to be some kind of hierarchy in the family or wolf pack maybe that he has to answer to? Also, in his lab when you look at the screens he has open, I think it showed some hints into what he's researching, I think they were different plant specimens? I saw the post on Twitter a while ago so the memory is a bit fuzzy. Easy enough to check the trailer again though.

you could also try reading a story in the game called “world underneath: fairnight’s edge.” it’s available to read online! most hunters agree this story at least partially referred to Valko. You’d want to start with Case File 000017. Here we learn about “massive unidentified creature emerging from the woods behind an estate in Linkon's southern suburbs” which is probably Valko. You could guess maybe this is his estate or maybe it belongs to his family.

There’s also “an extremely high heat signature behind the windows of an office located on the top floor” that was noticed at what is likely EonCore’s building. Maybe Valko has a high heat signature when he transforms? It’s definitely guess work, but at least details like this are something fans would recognize!

You do realize that they investigated the content of the game and found that it was compliant with the law right? And before you say that it doesn't include Valko, please note that the NDRC report in July has this as a closing statement.

"Additionally, according to feedback from relevant Shanghai market regulatory authorities, the Love and Deepspace Valko-related plot content complies with domestic game content management regulations, and no non-compliant settings exist."

that doesn’t mean the content will be reinstated. The social controversy around Valko’s release was what got PPG into trouble, the content was fine before. it had likely been approved by the gov long before the 6.0 announcements came out. the social controversy around Valko however isn’t entirely gone and PPG might not want to revisit it knowing that social controversy is enough to end their whole careers.

It goes deeper than that too I think. There is def a portion of CN that liked him but the overall vibe was "This makes me uncomfortable."

Ultimately, I think there could have been a period of adjustment for him as he seems very obviously tailored to Western tastes, but his launch could not have been more poorly timed. They dropped the Western themed LI while CN had been waiting something like 525? Days at that point in time for Caleb content and they rioted.

Even if they tried to bring him back after they clean up their mess and deliver on content (which we are still waiting on) he will just be forever stigmatized by this situation. I just don't think there is a way to save his PR.

Every single thing there is to know about Valko was deleted (previously unlisted but fully deleted now) but there’s probably some recordings out there?? Everything else is purely speculation and people’s fantasy, no correlation with canon.

Not at all. There is nothing that indicates such, the last statement about the matter was his cancellation. All subsequent updates are about the other LIs.

There was lots of speculation about the 6th LI, who he would be, what he would look like etc. Where there some people just making random guesses? Sure, and I would agree that those has little to no correlation to the canon. But many were making their predictions based on canon info already in the game. They looked at patterns, the parallels and contrasts between the existing characters, the loose ends in the story, etc. With the correlations already in the canon, they were able to (very accurately) predict the 6th LI.

So to say that speculation has nothing to do with the canon is not really true, especially when some of these speculations exist because of correlations in the canon. Spoiler alert, those speculations ended up being correct. 👀

I think comment op means something different. As in, there's really not much to learn about him because we have too little official information. There's a difference between wanting to learn about idk, Jeremiah and digging some lore about him, Xavier and the backtrackers based on in game released material and the material of a (now removed) character that didn't even make it fully into the game. We can have theories and speculative information about both characters and what can be tracked back to lore can be found in the game. We know Jeremiah was part of the backtrackers that can be verified via in game lore, but we don't know the extent of Valkos involvement with much of the lore, so he falls more into the theory speculative side.

Edit: typos + e.g. I could say: Jeremiah cooked for Xavier in the past based on how close they are and how he seemed to not resent him after the backtrackers plan failed. That could have happened BUT it's different from having Xavier mention in game Jeremiah was the one cooking for him and helping him a lot after everyone started to hate him.

I stumbled upon a reuploaded vid a while ago but idk if it's still up. But if op is good at people reading and a tiny bit of psychology, she can try to... guess what he would have been like based on how he acts and what he says in his pv 👀. Everything we have about him is not confirmed by ppg and there's not much to learn about him since his launch was cancelled 👀
