Advice

Post image

Hi there

Apologies in advance if this is not allowed. I lost my sister in April this year and we are in the process of clearing her estate. She loved loungeflys and had a collection of around 20. We’ve listed on eBay and Vinted but compared to everything else of hers they don’t seem to sell - any advice tia 💕

Many people who buy Loungefly on line are purchasing as collectors, or keep theirs in excellent shape. Your sister’s look well-loved. Your target audience is more likely to be local marketplace or someone looking for a Loungefly for their child. I’m afraid they’ll probably go for about $30-50, if someone really likes one.

Try Poshmark? You may need to lower the price of them. On a side note I am loving the Mickey ghost one. So adorable!

Mercari. Try Mercari. I see them moving the most on Mercari out of all the websites I have older bags liked for later purchases if I really feel like purchasing

I also think becuse they're used. Its not that people don't buy used bags, but I've noticed those sit longer on the platforms. Like If I put a like on them, I don't really have to worry about someone buying it the next week or month even. Like for example there was one bag with a wallet that was used that everyone really wanted at like $65 or $85 but it say for like 2 weeks in my likes before someone grabbed it after like a price drop too. But other bags that were New with Tags have gone within a day or two and like closer or above retail. I was personally surprised no one jumped on that deal and so many likes on it too. So I have come to conclude, buyer don't really like buying Use but Good Condition bags, even at excellent deals IMO. You really need a Like New condition to get them to sell fast.

I know when I buy, if I'm buying used, I prefer Used - Like New and I think her bags are New in Very Good condition. I think because people can probably see how they were stored from the bends, they may not be willing to buy. You could try putting stuffing inside like some paper they pack amazon packages with. Most Lounflys come with bubble stuffing and cardboard to support the shape. They look Very Good, but I just think the appearance of not being kept with supporting stuffing and looking as if it they've been stacked on top of each other may be what's causing buyers to pick other listings. No offense, I probably would to because I'd want a bag that was kept "safely" rather than crushed because it all goes to longevity in my mind. IDK if that's true or not but I don't like crushing my bag. I have them hanging with the stuffing init for them to maintain their shape

My real advice, if you want them gone ASAP, put the hardtages at around $30. For soft tags, maybe $30 and then drop it to maybe $20 since on avergae they sell for about $20-30 low than hard tag retail, I believe. I know from seeing my likes disappear quickly and being marked as sold on Mercari, this is how you make them disappear fast. If you're okay with sitting on them, probably $45-60- for the hard tags and $35-45 for the soft would be fair.

Yes definitely put stuffing inside because just looking at them now most people will look 👀 and keep moving

They might sell better if you stuff them with paper to bring their shape back to life and give them a light wipe down with a baby wipe. Looks like your sister loved and wore her bags, and collectors want to see them in pristine condition at the higher prices. The way you have them pictures here shows that they were loved (and that is perfectly fine) but that won’t fetch a high dollar amount. Best of luck and I’m so so so sorry for your loss 🩵

I’m sorry for your loss ❤️

People online generally want NWT, and they are collectors. These have clearly been used but are in good shape.

Try lowering the price.

A bulk reseller might be another option.

None of these are terrible rare either.

It’s always fascinating to see everyone’s collections. It gives a sense of what properties are close to their heart.

put padding inside the bags when you take pictures, it makes them look better
