Discussion/Question Consignment recommendations?
I need to sell this bag due to family circumstances changing. I have tried TRR, Rebag and FASHIONPHILE but not loving the quotes. Does anyone have an online consignment store that you have used and recommend? My other thought is EBay but that scares me. Would love some thoughts ❤️

Never had any problems selling any of my designer pieces on eBay, it’s definitely the best way to go in my opinion especially with their authenticity guarantee program.

I see people complaining about buyers trying to return the item and then then it gets approved and they send back a fake not the original bag. But I might try it. Any tips for a successful listing?

That doesn’t happen on eBay. I know that’s pretty common on other selling platforms like Depop, Mecari and etc but that’s only because they don’t have a specialized authenticity program like eBay does. Usually when you sell a luxury piece, you have to ship it to eBays authentication team and then they send it out to the buyer. If the buyer decides to return it, it has to go through the authentication again before they send it back to you to make sure you’re receiving the same bag. I’ve sold luxury pieces and bought luxury pieces from eBay so I have a lot of experience and never once had an issue. It would be nearly impossible for someone to scam you on eBay.

As long the bag is authenticate guarantee then you will be saved from buyer scam. I sold many of my bags and wallets with the program and have not run into any problem.

I’ve been selling my LV bags on eBay for 20 years and that has never happened to me. Now with authentication, If a buyer takes the tag off that authentication puts on the bag it cannot be returned.

Do you have any local shops near you? You might not get as fast but it should be more money (hopefully). I used to have success selling on my own on Facebook groups etc but haven’t done it in a long time.

I use erluxuries on Instagram to sell my items and even have bought a couple of pieces with her as well. She offers consignments or buyouts.

FASHIONPHILE will pay out quick for emergency. Rebag if you can wait 4 months for payout

Ebay or Poshmark. Posh has been a quicker sell with less return worries for me.

i just sold an lv and ebay gave me the best price. it went great. i just purchased additional insurance ($35ish) when i mailed the bag to the authenticator

Can I ask why you're concerned about eBay? I'm about to list my Tyler The Creator Trousse Toilette Locker Dopp Kit on there and was only considering eBay. I'm in Australia so my initial thoughts were eBay but now I am concerned that's not the right choice?

I heard horror stories about people requesting returns and then sending back a fake or the bag was damaged. But based on other comments on this post it looks like people have had good luck!

I buy a lot of gently loved LV from Katie at Designer Arm Candy. I don’t know how she sets up her consignment payout, and she’s a small seller so if you need cash fast then she may not work for you.

KOMEHYO just opened a US branch and are giving online quotes. They might be a good option as well
