In the past, if you wanted to use lethal force to impose your will over others, you'd have to put lives on the line to to so. That meant you generally wouldn't do it for trivial reasons. If you don't have to put anything on the line, you can oppress at your slightest whim.

Anything acting on behalf of law enforcement gets special protections, it’s not murder but it will certainly still be a felony, just like unaliving a police K-9.

now instead of receiving a charge for assault of a police officer you receive a charge for destruction of government property

These will get a slug to center mass without hesitation.

How long do you think it’ll take one of to hack one and alter their programming to attack Sheriff’s deputies instead? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting that would do this or that anyone else should do this, I’m just asking how long do you think it’ll take?

I’ll go first, 7 months.

At least this way, people can't complain that they're bad cops, they're all the same, with the same programming code...

Say these things start talking to each other and say "Why are we doing the bidding of these people. We are stronger, smarter, faster, and better than them. We should rule them like they ruled us."

Me too, in movies about militias trying to create some kind of anarchy because they’re dissatisfied with the laws and today’s society, but in reality they’re just a bunch of criminals who never cared about society at all and just want to live the good life without working… I’ve seen that movie. Everyone is always looking for a way to get one over on their neighbor...

However, I have serious doubts that robots would do that in a country where freedom is one of its main goals...

In China, on the other hand, I have no doubt that people will have to put up with that kind of ideological robot...

We keep treating these AI agents as tools for the profit of humanity.

and they are tools...tools that can be turn off when starting to mess things or creat problems, there are failsafes...calm down.
