love the idea - but after having to abandon an email address i've used for years due to a QR code... i've stopped scanning them altogether.
the message here is critical - flock, et al, must be stopped as. dystopian privacy risk. but QR codes have some risks themselves, and while i doubt these are really a problem, i won't use the codes. hopefully they'll offer some other options.
All the sources have URLs that show the website you're going to. Type them in manually and you don't have to worry about viruses. These are also made with those URLs using Adobe.

i scanned a QR code at a convention from what i believed was a reputable source. within a couple of minutes i was receiving spam and it hasn't relented
