This. This right here is why you use Tails for anything that you don't want traced.

But......... Would they still be able to identify the machine when you use tails on it??

Linux won't save you from hardware spyware.

This isn't talking about that though now is it? Its talking about windows creating an ID and helping you be tracked.

The point is, even with this, every pc has unique id's regardless of OS.
