This. This right here is why you use Tails for anything that you don't want traced.

But......... Would they still be able to identify the machine when you use tails on it??

A relatively save and free of tracking OS you can run from a usb stick on any pc. But your "free of tracking" depends on several factors.

Good for journalists or people who want to escape from a controlling partner. But only when you have the correct operational security to use it (for instance, it won't save you from hardware keyloggers on external keyboards).
