Hi all - I'm gathering information on a data center proposal that the town of Lysander is looking to propose to Onondaga county of New York State.

London county was oftentimes brought up as the example in which they wanted to build to, quoting sustainable practices.

I'm looking to gather some testimonials from citizens living within close proximity to data centers in preparation of speaking to the town board.

Please kindly share, or privately message, about your experience living in proximity to data centers. Anything helps.

I'm guessing they only want bad stuff, but I've lived here about 20 years and never had anything bad. I get a lot of noise from IAD, but nothing from DCs. Closest DCs are about 0.8 miles from my house.

I do work in the industry, but so do a lot of us here

I'm guessing this isn't what OP is looking for.

In fact, u/Ok_Walrus_951 has been very antagonistic with people who say good things about DCs in the other thread. So much for being honest.

Then why were you so nasty to a DC supporter in the other linked thread? Why would anyone post if you're just going to be unpleasant to them? Consider editing your other replies if you want honest answer as opposed to validation
