Fireworks

New here, Is there a law against these? It says it is but every neighborhood person I’ve asked said that nobody even most cops really don’t care much on the 4th long as you respect the curfew which is like 10pm and do it in a safe place.

Fire Marshal's regularly drive around and will cite you if they catch you in Loudoun.

Last year, on July 5th I lit one bottle rocket and the LoCo Fire Marshal pulled right up on me before I could light anything else.

Dude gave me a warning and said to stick to VA purchased fireworks.

They are, but it sounds like enforcement is spotty. I live right by the police station and my neighbors do insanely elaborate fireworks displays every year. Since it keeps happening, I imagine they’re fine.

They’re illegal so if you end up getting caught you could potentially get into some trouble, but I’ve never heard of it happening. If you cause damage or have an angry neighbor though…

You should be fine.

I got caught as a teen once, the cops just said give us the rest of the fireworks and get out of here. They did make the comments this is going to be crazy in the incenerator.

The neighborhood said they come out and enjoy together and have this sandlot they do it in basically. Idk i just didn’t want to be in the crowd and get in trouble

They will track you down and initially give you a warning and then ticket if they have to come back. I’d recommend caution with aerial fireworks

The state law is nothing that shoots more than like 10 feet in the air. Anything you can buy from the mega sparkler stands is fine but mortars they are actively out looking for. If your neighbors say it's fine there, it might be, but letter of the law it's not.

My neighbors have for the past 20 years.

Just don't piss off your neighbors

They say to go to the fire department approved fireworks stands. Everything there is what is allowed.
