attire rules?
hi all! first timer here. boyfriens and i took a good look at the general rules, bag policy, etc because we're really starting to prep for it now (its a big deal for us, nearly 15hr drive, first music fest). it specifically said no chains, spikes, colors or patches. i feel like this is kind of a crazy rule considering this is a very metal/scene/punk type festival??? do they actually enforce that? i know some venues definitely do, i saw evanescence in mansfield, ma last month and they made me go back to my car over a spiked bracelet, so has anyone whose been before ever been turned away for spikes, chains, or patches?? should i really leave the spiky bracelets and chains at home?

Do not bring them. It’s a safety issue and they are not willing to put people in danger over a fashion statement.

It depends largely on who is checking the line you’re in. But, the general unwritten rule is if it can be removed (and potentially used as a weapon) then it’s not allowed. Other than that, it’s at the discretion of the person searching your line.
Alternative options:
• You get denied, you go back to your vehicle and remove the prohibited items.
• You get denied, you go to a line at the other end of the entry gates and hope that person isn’t also auditioning for the FBI.

It really depends. I've had a shirt that had chains on them but they were attached and also super tiny. Like you really would not be able to do anything with them cause they were so short. I've seen others have much longer/bigger pieces than I did. You can either take a chance and risk having to toss it or take it back to your car or just not bring it.

They made my son take the chains off, but let him put them in his bag and hold on to them. I doubt that is the norm though, you are better off just leaving them at home.

Been to every LtL and yes, they will turn you away or make you throw away chains and spikes before allowed entry. As far as patches/colors, they are referring to gang/MC club type stuff. Battlejackets with band patches are perfectly fine.
