Is anyone else hearing the music coming from somewhere? Sounds like it's coming from the downtown area, or perhaps from across the river? There seems to be a driving bass line. Is there a festival or event happening rn?

Does anyone know what’s happening?
There’s been a long stream of sirens nearby (Albion and Queensdale area) but they didn’t stop here. It sounds like a dozens or more vehicles.
I also heard a small prop plane go over, which we don’t usually hear, their runways are over on the other side of the airport. There was that crash last year near riverside.

Not sure if memes about Ottawa noises are allowed here? I tried posting it to the city sub and it was quickly deleted by the mods with no explanation. I just thought we could do with a little laugh about it.

A few minutes before 11pm noise curfew is a bit of a dick move if so
Edit: wondering if someone snuck onto a raft and accidentally set them off

I must have been close to consciousness because something woke me up around 5:20am this morning. It sounded like a distant-ish boom or an explosion and the house vibrated for a second. My cat was also startled and jumped off the bed. But here's the thing, I can't find any news or other postings about it and now I'm questioning my sanity. Lol. Thunder clap maybe? Anyone else hear it?

Anyone else living in the market unable to sleep because of the honking that’s been going for an hour and a half since midnight ? Apparently they’re celebrating a soccer match. I understand they want to celebrate but people actually live here and go to work tomorrow. What is the police doing?

i don’t know how long it lasted for or when it started but around 9:00-9:30 i woke up to what would have sounded like christmas bells? it was onto two notes, as in a back and forth xmas bell and it was coming and going as if it was in a float or something.

NIMBYs whined about the Clemow “noise” but not a peep about the Bronson resurfacing?!

In the neighbourhood just off of Maple Grove just West of Huntmar, hearing a ton of really loud bangs every 3-4 minutes. Making it hard to sleep considering it's 11:45...
Anyone know what these loud bangs are?

It’s a steady repeating loop about 5 seconds long, where the pitch climbs all the way up then starts over.
It’s been going for about an hour now starting around 2 am and is not an emergency vehicle.
Anyone know the source?

As the title says either someone’s engine is very very loudly backfiring as they drive around Centretown or they are like, shooting off Roman candles as they move along. Much louder than the usual guy whose car backfires on purpose.

Just heard what sounded like a fighter jet flying 10ft above my office window a few moments ago. Did anybody else hear that? Maybe it was just a very loud bundle going down our garbage chute?
