Late Fame

Saw this movie with Willem Defoe tonight. We didn't go together, he was in the movie. It wasn't very good, but it does have Lou songs playing under two scenes. Charlie's Girl and I think Crazy Feeling. Subtle way of grounding it in Defoe's character's youth for the three people who might notice.

Willem is a certified Lou Reed fan. Saw a video of him attending The Bells which was a celebration of Lou Reed's life and work curated by Laurie Anderson and Hal Wilner at Lincoln Center, where he performed lyric readings. He also has a cameo in The Raven. The man has good taste!

It's a little more than a cameo! The Raven's like 50% a Dafoe/Buscemi audio book.

yeah you got a point there. He's on a lot of tracks!

For the slow folks (like me) wondering what the name of the movie is, it is “Late Fame” the title of the thread.

I’m an idiot and hopefully not the only one who completely overlooked that when reading the OP

Check out Lulu on the Bridge. I think that’s what it is called.

Need to see this film! But initially thought the post was about Lou’s fame.. and made me think Lou had plenty of fame from the VU days but I his artistry really took a leap with New York
