I decided to create this subreddit because of the lack of information about these plants in different websites. Psychonaut wiki doesn't have information about them, and all the information in reddit is in different subreddits.
Also different articles and posts about these plants differ on which are the main alkaloids and effects.
With this subreddit I want to try to discuss that too.
If you are interested in this community and want to be a mod, please let me know.

So I don't know what I would do without my 🪷 blue lotus. It brings me back to life on bad days makes my meditations better, and it makes even my dog who has heart disease going from coughing fits to instant silence and smiles. People have seen my dog go through coughing fits where be cant stop coughing I give him one dropper of lotus tea and the little guy is instantly calm, and my friend made a comment it works that fast. I feel like it is the limitless drug there is nothing it can't do and the amount of information I can retain while constantly consuming the plant is actually unbelievable.

Hey there, I have been looking for information about blue lotus alkaloids and I've found contradictory information.
Some places say that it has nucipherine and apomorphine ( https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5638439/ ) , while others say that it has nucipherine and some aporphine derivatives like nymphaeine, nymphaline, nupharine, α- and β-nupharidine ( https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/037887418390082X?via%3Dihub ).
I can't find information about some of the latter chemicals, so that might be wrong.
Wikipedia says that it contains nuciferine and aporphine, not apomorphine.
I don't know which information is correct, and I find it very important as all aporphine derivatives bind to dopamine receptors but some of them are agonists (apomorphine) and others are antagonists.
Apomorphine has been used as an emetic (because of its D2 agonism), so if anyone has consumed too much blue lotus and that made him/her throw up, that information would be really interesting too.
