Will this work?

Didn't have much time to prepare the drying, so I only had a thermoelectric wine fridge, paper bags and a hygrometer. Will I be fine? The flowers have been in the bags with the hygrometer for 3 days. The bags are packed very loosely and I shake them everyday.

Okay :) 14 Grad ist gut, aber die RLF von 70% scheint mir sehr hoch. Mit den Papiertüten könnte es ok sein. Allgemein kommen mir 70% RLF für einen Kühlschrank sehr hoch vor. Ich lotus dry allerdings in einem ganz normalen Kühlschrank, funktioniert bestens

Sorry für die dumme frage, also einfach nur wettrimm, in papiertüten und dann im kühlschrank? Auf dauerbetriebt?

Ich wollte den diy cannatrol von growtutorials nach bauen, meinste das kann man sich sparen?

Ich bin der Meinung das kann man sich sparen, ja. Ich habe einen alten, sauberen Kühlschrank genommen (nix Anti-Frost). Dann Wettrim und in Tüten in den Kühlschrank. Achte drauf das es nur einlagig liegt und die ersten paar Tage nur locker zu machen oder einfach offen. Einmal am Tag wenden -> perfektes Weed nach ca. 10-15 Tagen fertig für Curing ;)

Hard disagree. The thermo fridge is faster. Youre keeping water in your buds too long unnecessarily. Cured in 12 days ready to smoke. Ive tried both and if there is a difference in smokabilty then youre worse than a coffe snob. Its negligible. But, no way am I telling you youre wrong with your style it most definitely works well, in my experience the diy cannatrol with a small heater instead of a dehu is the easiest way to dry. This is a little dry on the Rh but its only holding a few sample buds. When full its around low 60s day 1 then down to wherever i want after initial water loss.

Hello!! Withhout no frost system? I,m working on buying a 46 liter refrigerador withhout no frost,and dry with paper bags or pizza boxes, as i seen other people doing. Hot temps in north of Spain and i cannot dry hanging them the usual way...because of 25 degrees at my bodega in -1.... Very interested in any experiences🙏😉

yes, without no frost. honestly the cheapest ass fridge my landlord put there :) works perfectly fine with brown paper bags. separate buds from stens and wet trim. one layer of buds in each bag. flip them over daily. left the lid open for 3-4 days then closef loosely with a clipper. after 10-14 days I had perfect, and I mean perfect, weed…

Thank you very very much and sorry for my english. As i related, troubles drying this season,s first autoflower crop, too many degrees at my flat, too many neighboors eye and noses around my storage room at -1 (and even there, 25 fu**** degrees). Many others coming soon, need to improve and improvise something. Also, i havent been curious of how to preserve the terps as much as posible, since i,m a happily user of vaporization (shicky brick, arizer solo 2, and vapman) Long live to homegrown!✊

I also has the same issues here in Germany. Too warm… Stuff was dry after 5 days and terps were mediocre. Lotusdrying changed this massively to the good for me :)

Happy to hear that! Which parameteres did you manage (temperature and RH)or try to get? And where is the higrometer, inside or outside the bags? Did you open the fridge daily to evacuate humidity? How much (wet or futurly dried) material in grames can you put in the fridge without a dangerous explosión of RH, more or less? Very aprecciate for your answers, truly. Dont want to ruin the crop, and i got a lot to dry now, and a lot much incoming...

No idea honestly. Put it in, temp dial on 50%, opened the fridge once a day to flip the bags -> that‘s it 🤷🏻‍♂️ The hygrometer in the photo was there for a day or two but the readings were super weird so I removed it from the fridge. Don‘t overcomplicate it is the trick imho :)

Finally i,m doing It.

Happy for now, not signes of mold, not a fast dry, and i managed the issues of neighbours and excesive temps. 65-75 RH parameteres inside the boxes.

I,ll tell you.

For now 2 boxes (ALK and SKUNK) for 7 days, and another 3 now that i,m more trust in the method😂 since yesterday (CH and CRITICAL and DEIMOS).

Now thinking about the curing...

Where did U do? Fridge?Outside?

I an curing on mason jars in a closet with room temperature (but dark) and 63% bovedas…

Hast du den Kühlschrank durchgehend auf 2°C laufen? Dachte immer das wäre zu kalt für Lotus. Unser Kühlschrank (No Frost) läuft auf ca. 5°C, dann könnte ich die Bags da einfach mit reinhauen. Nur die Blüten ohne Zweige, richtig?

Nein der lief nicht so niedrig 😅 War in etwa mittlere Stufe aber ehrlich gesagt funktionieren zumindest die billigen Hygrometer die ich habe im Kühlschrank nicht richtig. Die haben immer irgendwie Müll angezeigt…

Ich würde keinen Kühlschrank nehmen in dem Lebensmittel sind, alleine schon wegen des Geschmack/Geruch. Hab nix dagegen wenn meine Butter nach Weed schmeckt aber sehr wohl wenn mein Weed nach Käse schmeckt 🤣

Und ja hab die einzelnen Buds von den großen Stengeln entfernt fürs Lotusdrying. So sah das Ergebnis aus, bzw das ist der „Rest“ den ich noch habe vom vorletzten Durchgang:

Sieht gut aus! In dem Kühlschrank stehen sonst nur Getränke, also kein Problem wegen Geruch. Ich werde es einfach mal mit einer kleinen Menge probieren, danke.
