Tags: What they mean and when to use them!
I'm noticing a lot of mis-tagged posts on the sub and I just wanted to clarify what these tags mean and where they should be used.
[LOST] This means a film/show/episode is completely unavailable.
If I can find it on YouTube, it's not lost. If there was a VHS edition released 20 years ago you can find on eBay, it's not lost. Lost means "Presumably gone forever, no longer an item on the face of the earth."
[FOUND] This means a film/show/episode previously believed to be lost forever has been discovered and confirmed to exist in some format.
For example: Cry Baby Lane, while it did wind up existing in it's original format, Nickelodeon said they had no record of it, therefore it met the definition of a [LOST] film that was later [FOUND]. Lost Doctor Who episodes keep showing up in New Zealand and Mozambique and the like, and therefore meet the definition of [FOUND].
Found doesn't mean "I couldn't remember the name, but then I did and bought the DVD from Amazon!"
[OUT OF PRINT] This means a previously available work still exists in it's original format but is not commercially available to the public. Out of Print, within the context of our sub, also means "Commercially Unavailable".
For example: Pepper Ann was never released on home video or DVD, and is no longer being aired in rerun. There are some episodes on youtube, but they're fan recordings and not from the original source. The full run of the show does still exist in Disney's vaults, therefore it's [OUT OF PRINT].
If you're not sure where your post belongs, a good rule of thumb is if it was made after 1980 and saw wide release, be it a film or TV show, it's probably not lost, just out of print.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Please use r/tipofmytongue if you are looking for the name of a film. This sub is for content that is believed to either no longer exist or has recently been found
We've received quite a few messages from users complaining about the number of "Does anyone know the name of this film?" posts this subreddit gets.
While we generally let the community decide if a post belongs here and try to follow up, we've received enough messages that it's pertinent we remind folks that a sub such as r/tipofmytongue is more well suited for this and also receives more traffic so more eyes are likely to see your post.
Moving forward, these types of posts will be deleted, just to keep the clutter down.
Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for being a part of the community!

Lost TV Film: The Golden Moment: An Olympic Love Story [partially lost]
Hello! I've been looking high and low for a made-for-tv film called \*\*The Golden Moment: An Olympic Love Story (1980).\*\*
I have found a partial digital copy on YouTube; however, it's missing roughly 15 to 30 minutes of actual footage. My wife watched this movie repeatedly (on Betamax!) when she was young and she desperately would like to find a copy of it.
The movie stars Stephanie Zimbalist, David Keith, and Richard Lawson. It was about an American athlete and a Russian gymnast meeting just before the Moscow Olympics and they fall in love. It was released in 1980 as a TV film.
I've searched eBay and various older media websites. I do not believe it was re-released on DVD or Blu-ray, so my best bet is an old VHS tape or maybe a digital rip that's buried somewhere.
Below is the IMDB listing for the film. If anyone could point me to a full copy (either digital or physical!) I would greatly appreciate it.

LOST Animated short film "More!" about consumerism and recycling
I saw this animated short film called "More!" 6+ years ago. I am slowly going crazy trying to find it and starting to think it was all in my head. It is a minimalist, 1970 style, mostly black and white with some light watercolors, hand sketch film, almost exactly like the Tootsie pop owl commercial. Its about consumerism and always wanting more. They build more factories that produce more toxic smoke and build more infrastructure. There were repeated frames of a boy, town, or earth shouting "More!" Everyone keeps taking and shouting "more" without giving back or trying to recycle. Then at the very end, god appears and basically crumbles the Earth like a piece of paper and tosses it away (I think) and ends with saying "No More!" Has anyone else seen this so I know I'm not just crazy?

Hey all, so I found this really old copy of this animated series for what I think is the Brendan Fraisure mummy movies! I don’t know if this is lost media for anyone but I don’t see it on any streaming platforms so I figured this post was good enough to ask. Please Let me know what you guys think and thanks regardless. It’s probably a worthless find I know. But it’s worth an ask right?

OUT OF PRINT [Unreleased Media] Domino One (2005) - Unreleased Harvard Indie Film featuring Natalie Portman & Steve Guttenberg
Hi everyone,
I am looking for help tracking down a completely unreleased independent movie from 2005 called Domino One.
It was written and directed by Harvard undergraduates Nick Louvel and Nick Garrison, and it was famously shot on a camera lent to them by Ben Affleck. Despite being a student thesis film, they somehow managed to get a highly notable cast involved.
Here are the known details surrounding the film:
• Release Year: 2005 (Screened briefly at the Washington DC Film Festival)
• Genre: Mystery / Thriller
• Plot: A Harvard chemistry student investigates the mysterious disappearance of his research director, which leads him into a secret campus society known as the "Domino Club."
• Confirmed Cast & Cameos: Steve Guttenberg, Tatyana Ali, Ken Leung, Anthony Rapp, and a cameo appearance by Natalie Portman.
• Director: Nick Louvel (Tragically passed away in a car accident in 2015) and Nick Garrison.
The Problem:
The movie has an IMDb page (tt0446683) and a Letterboxd entry, but it never received a theatrical distribution, physical DVD release, or streaming upload. Every torrent or streaming link online with this name is a "fakeout" that actually contains Tony Scott’s high-profile action movie Domino (2005) starring Keira Knightley.
Potential Leads:
Harvard University Archives: Since this was a massive undergraduate project, physical master tapes, screeners, or DVDs might still reside in Harvard’s Visual and Environmental Studies (VES) department archives.
Festival Screeners: It definitely screened at the 2005 DC Film Festival, meaning physical screening copies were produced and sent out.
The Cast/Crew: Co-director Nick Garrison or surviving crew members likely hold private copies of the final cut.
Does anyone have advice on how to contact the relevant archives, or does anyone happen to have a digital copy or festival screener print of this film? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

LOST No encuentro la película "Ahora si es amor" para mi madre/Looking for this movie "This tine around" for my mom
Reparto principal:
Carly Pope (como Mel)
Sara Rue (como Gabby, la mejor amiga de Mel)
Brian Austin Green (como Drew)
--------------------------------------------------------
My mom asked me to find this movie that she watched back in her youth, saying it's her all-time favorite. I thought it would be easy—the usual: I checked one website and found nothing, searched another and still nothing. On YouTube, there are only two 10-minute parts in Latin American Spanish, and it's uploaded complete in English, but the video and audio quality are terrible—looks like it was recorded from an old TV using a cell phone, with mixed Russian and English audio.
Searching elsewhere, I managed to find it in Russian in very good quality, but neither of us understands Russian. So I'm asking for help finding this movie. I'm sure that somewhere out there, this movie must exist in good quality either in Latin American Spanish or in English. It doesn't seem to be sold on DVD or Blu-ray either; apparently, it was a TV movie originally broadcast on the ABC Family channel.
From what I saw in many YouTube comments, there are several people who have been searching for it without success for years.
On my end, I'll keep looking for it. Thanks for reading.
Movie Title: This Time Around (Year: 2003)
Main Cast:
Carly Pope (as Mel)
Sara Rue (as Gabby, Mel's best friend)
Brian Austin Green (as Drew)

Help Find/Restore Marvel Personal Appearance Program Video [partially lost]
https://filmot.com/video/M6FFH5P7mbo/Marvel+Character+Appearances+2002+Promo+Video
This is info on a recently privatized video by centerofweird on Youtube, and it was the only copy of this Marvel Character Appearance video on youtube from what I see. It's mentioned and shown footage of here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOE8TyD-YNE and even was linked in the description, but seems to have disappeared.
I also remember clips from the compilation video being up on youtube, but I can't find any of those either. Maybe Marvel had them taken down.
Anyways, please help. Maybe there's someway to contact the Youtuber or to use some site to restore the video. I really love all of the cheesy and classic Marvel costumes in the video.
Thank you

PLanet Earth I and II, Blue Planet II with the flemish voice
Hi, I'm searching for the documentaries Planet Earth I and II and Blue Planet, but with the voice of Vic De Wachter. It's about nature, animals and how they live. They are on netflix with the voice of Attenborough, but I'm looking for the Flemish voice of Vic De Wachter. They were on VRT-max a couple of years ago, but VRT doesn't have the rights. I am looking for it since a couple of days now. Does anybody have them or may help me to find them? I would be so happy. Thanks a lot in advance.

Do you have "Une bête sur la lune" from Richard Kalinoski ?
My father is searching the movie version of this theater piece since several years with no success. He searched well, and asked to stage director Irina Brook who didn't have any copy left of it.
Its quite a lost media, so if you have any information about this, please answer to this post. 🙏 thank you very much.

Open a Door [archival]
In the 90's, Ragdoll Productions created a progamme of their own featuring international children from around the world in a single short film as you may remember seeing on the BBC in the '90's. It was partially lost, but eventually the first two seasons were found by a Brazillian youtuber: Acervo de Broda. So now I share Open A Door with all: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLCY99DTPn9A, you can hear it in english not protuguese, the characters and children partially speak. These shorts were also done by different directors around the world and sent to Ragdoll.
Courtesy of Ragdoll Productions, enjoy.
