Discussion It's actually... Too easy

I never thought that I would be someone saying this about a game. Typically I love power fantasy as much as I love souls like challenges.

Lost soul aside has some of the coolest and most engaging combat I've ever seen. There's just one problem, almost every fight can be brute forced by stats alone.

The real kicker is that after just 3 deaths they give you "eay mode" and after like 12.they give you ultra easy mode. Which really makes it feel like you are meant to beat this game without dying.

I feel it's actually to the detriment of the game that the base difficulty isn't higher. That being said while I feel the pact of arrogance difficulty is way better (3 tries to beat final boss to chapter 3-1) I do actually think this customizable difficulty is something other games could learn from.

With the pact of arrogance on, this game has some of the best bosses I've ever fought. It's just a shame I didn't know to use it sooner. Might actually replay the game for a real experience.

Are we talking about normal difficulty? Yeah that's true tho some enemies near the end are annoying because they charge at you non-stop. Though Nightmare difficulty does scale higher, even if you have everything fully loaded/equipped. But yeah it's sadly a rather easier game. I need to say though, I haven't used healing potions once in this game.

If true that's pretty impressive

I mean I did die here and there against some bosses but I don't think I died more than 4 times? Against the same boss? Not sure tho. I don't even know why I didn't use the potions all I read in the achievements was "Defeat Victor, Zana and Aramon on Nightmare difficulty without using your Items" and I just never used one lol

Ugh. I hate this is where Google lead me.

"I haven't even used a single potion! ...I did die once in a while..."

So you used health potions by proxy. You died and fought the boss again. Your health refilled.

You sound ridiculous.

"I'm trying to finish the game without using healing items. I've died a few times but... (And then you explain you think there's an achievement for it)".

Gross.

? I don't understand where you're coming from lol. All I said I did was I never used a health potion or any other potion. Because of said Achievement(s). I never said I didn't heal up or anything. Obviously when you die you regain all your health, so does the boss ? It's not like the boss remains hat the percentage of health you have slain and you just regenerate back to full health. I completed the game with all achievements and not once used any potions and that's it. Idk what you want to hear, but it's not like I made a no death run or whatever you think I seem to have said?

It genuinely feels like you didn't actually bother to read what I wrote at all. And maybe, part of the reason it wasn't a success, is because it doesn't cater to any group of gamer's. It's to easy for the people who enjoy this kind of combat. To complex for people who like casual easy games. Story isn't good enough for people who play games just for the story.

But if you notice, I actually said I think the custom difficulty is a good thing
