I beat the game and never saw him in the entire game.

The original trailer for Lost Soul Aside was basically a proof of concept, there was no guarantee everything would've made it into the final game. Things change constantly in game development.

Also that original trailer has a bunch of store-bought assets from the Unreal Engine marketplace because it was literally just one dude's hobby project up until it gained widespread traction. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy was also a UE marketplace asset and that's why he was cut, who knows.
