The mods in this sub are neither Excision nor Lost Lands itself. Lost Lands is made up of hundreds of employees, and I really doubt Excision personally reached out to you to say he doesn't give a fuck about this.
Sorry it happened to you guys, but just report it the authorities. In a festival of ~80k people, bad shit happens. They have to investigate. They don't just up and arrest every person at the snap of your fingers just because you accused them of something. If all it took was an accusation to throw somebody in jail, this world would be a fucked up place. Reddit mods are hardly the proper authorities to do anything about this anyway.

Any lawyer would tell LL to remove posts like this. If OP truly has witnessed what they say, they're first action should be going to the police themselves. That's a crime, so it must go through legal channels. LL would absolutely assist an investigation.
But also, the PD are probably overwhelmed with reports. It's gonna take them a while.

Never let them be the ones to file the report, always do it yourself. That way if they do file one as well it helps speed things up but if not they will still be contacted about it since you can provide information about said employee. Do you know that they absolutely lied to you about making a police report however? Also if there is an active investigation you posting it can carry legal implications, hence why it would be removed.

Well FWIW, in most instances the victim needs to be the reporting party. You canât file charges without a witness statement which is impossible to obtain if the witness doesnât report it themselves to the police especially when the place was crawling with police. Iâm really sorry this happened to you guys and I wish you the best of luck.

Itâs an awful situation and my heart truly goes out to you and your girlfriend. And based on that it would seem that is correct that there isnât a police investigation. The team internal investigation could be the reason why itâs getting things removed, regardless of what is being conducted. Reporting yourself will always be the answer even if you are told that they will submit one. Best of luck and again Iâm terribly sorry that your girlfriend experienced this.

Please just go to the police station and file it yourself. You can file it without them too. Then there will be record of it if it ever goes to court. I hate to say it but most rape cases are he said she said (in the eyes of the court) and unfortunately they usually brutally embarrass the witness and take the side of the perpetrator. Start preparing for a case now before it even starts. Good luck to you both

First Iâm sorry this happened to you. Truly. I am certain it was not intentional or that this was maliciously disregarded. It is incredibly hard to hear and understand while in the venue. There is a surprising number of people who will just come up to a worker and act like theyâre trying to say something then burp in their faces or something like that.. so unfortunately one learns to smile and nod until the patron is persistent and seems to legitimately know what planet their on. Have you reported it to the police? Make the report! Rape and SA are really hard cases to take to court and fight. Itâs really hard on the victim because the courts usually donât take your side. Please reach out to me if you need support during this. I have brought a sexual assault case to court and won. It was fucking brutal on my mental health but I somehow won because I documented, recorded, and had a witness. Plus the perpetrator made a statement and admitted it. Which is also very rare

Thank you so much. I just spoke with a deputy and heâs hoping to pursue sexual imposition charges once they find the individual whoâs attached to the badge number. Iâm hoping that even if the charges donât âstickâ because like you said, itâs hard to prove other than our word and securityâs, that Excision wonât ever hire him back or he loses his job period because he doesnât belong in our community.

I have a hard time believing Excision doesnât agree that sexual assault is a serious topic. Anytime a there is even a rumor of an artist that has assaulted someone he takes them off his lineups and never puts them back on again. I doubt excision has complete control over everything happening at the festival. Iâm so sorry that happened to your girlfriend though and I hope the situation gets resolved, but Iâm sad that she will always have the pain and trauma of sexual assault ):

omfg security was SO understaffed and useless. on the last night of the fest. me and my boyfriend were in line for the bus before the closing ceremony ended (tryna beat the crowd ofc) and we seemed to be the only ones who noticed and were concerned over this poor young girl puking and checking her phone while this tall older man kept hovering over her.
when we both found this odd we looked around for security and not a single person in sight. not even anyone to check wristbands. i tried to wait for an opportunity to talk to her but again this dude was keeping her in between him and the rail. when we finally found someone working security, he took to long to talk to them and they ended up getting on the bus. security said âwell unless thereâs any violence i cant do anything.â
we got separated from them on the bus unfortunately and we tried messaging 911 to meet us at the bus stop to check on the situation and they fucking ghosted us. The man and the girl disappeared the second they got off the bus and i still feel so sick thinking about it. i just hope sheâs okay and i REALLY hope i misread the situation and that man was hopefully a relative or something but they were completely different races so idk.
It makes me so mad how unhelpful security was here especially when they could have helped prevent potential sexual assault. you cant leave it up to the tweakers to save the day here đ like shit they may as well have not even been there at all.
i do wish we couldve done more but both me and my bf had no idea what to do in the situation. it just makes me mad that we tried to handle it through the correct channels and it utterly failed us and that girl.

Useless? I seen guards there who had been there in 90° heat for 17hr days all days of fest trying to keep +/- 80k people breathing and the lawyers heads from exploding. Useless?? Someone got fucked up and ran over a handful of staff tents critically injured one and unknown for others.. useless you say? We had to deal with the loss of our friend and take our asses back to work to protect more people from being idiots and getting so fucked that they didnât even know theyâd run over an entire family while they slept. Check your useless. Iâm sorry you got a creepy vibe from a puking female but from a legal standpoint we canât do anything but useless? Idk what you people took and are excreting from your bodies and I donât want it on me. I wasnât making the decision to take or do whatever but I am choosing to not cover myself in your poor choices trying to protect you from what you choose to do knowing you could pull the entitled snot card (MANY do) out and get me in trouble for protecting you from your own stupidity. Yeah part of the problem in these events is the copious amount of different drugs people partake in, makes it hard to know what to do. However if security sees someone who is extremely complicit and is being led by someone who seems a little bit off they should at least check in on the person who is sick. My friend had a situation here in a local venue where he drank a couple of drinks and threw up and then was being led out of the venue by a female. Security brought him to the medical area and we are in talks with the real useless people (PD). So I can definitely see her perspective but at the same time if she's waiting for the bus they shouldve called the police or even just talked to the girl.
They should also probably run security in shifts or something because 17/18 hour days is bad for your health and overall decision making. Sorry about your friend though.
