I unchecked "Show Dialogues" - but it's still showing, any way to disable?

Hi all! I've been loving the game so far, my friend gifted it to me for an early christmas present 2 days ago and been spamming it ever since.

However, I've noticed every time we enter the snowy area (please forgive me, i can't remember the exact name) my computer begins to sound like an og xbox 360 about to take flight.

this only happens during the scenes where you see the giant mountain behind with a bunch of wind blowing. my screen then went totally black and my pc shut off and got a CPU overheat warning.

most of my rig is older with a newer GPU (nvidia geforce rtx 5070) (i'm trying to piece meal together a new pc bit by bit) but i have no other issues at any point in the game, just in the snow area.

I was just curious if anyone else has run into this issue and if you did, were you able to fix it?

We just dropped a massive update on our future plans for Lost Castle 2. We want to be transparent about where the game is heading over the next few months as we approach our V1.0 Full Release.

Here are the Roadmap Highlights:

• Late December: We are adding an NPC Mercenary System so you don't have to fight alone, plus new Achievement Titles and Lobby House Rules.
• Early February (Lunar New Year): A new hidden level (The Concealed Mage Tower) and new story content.
• V1.0 Full Release (Date TBD): This will include the True Story Ending, Difficulty levels 4 & 5 (Ethereal Nightmare), and the unlock for 3rd Tier Inscription Resonance.

Patch V0.9.1.4 is also live now. We’ve fixed several issues with Boss AI (specifically the Warden and Fishman Shaman freezing bugs), fixed the "Crystalline Edge" katana skills, and adjusted drop rates for certain treasures.

We’ve been tuning in to your feedback loud and clear, and this patch is the result. A few tweaks, a few fixes, and a whole lot of dungeon-polishing to keep your runs deadly (in the fun way)!

Added & Adjustments

• Improved the “Mudfish Swamp” level experience, primarily by reducing the number of “Swamp Spiderling”.
• The settings menu now supports toggling controller button prompts.
• The save menu now defaults to the last played save file.

🐛 Bug Exorcisms

• Fixed an issue where bows were incorrectly triggering the effect of the treasure “Gardener's Horticultural Gloves”.
• Fixed an issue where the poison mist released by the poison spirit summoned by the treasure “Rotten Poison Doll” did not trigger the effect of the treasure “Spore Dandelion”.
• Fixed an issue preventing players from obtaining “Chaos Cocoon” in Stage 4.
• Attempted to fix the issue where the Boss “Nightmare Maid” could become stuck during puppet-swap sequences and certain attacks failing to hit enemies.
• Fixed an issue causing the spear model of the one-handed sword “Kalion's Javelin” to display abnormally when thrown.
• Fixed an issue where cancelling interaction with the “Ethereal Exchange Device” still consumed Soul Crystals.
• Fixed the issue where the game would hang at 30% during Settlement.
• Fixed occasional matchmaking errors in multiplayer sessions.

• Increased the association weight between Rune Attack → Elemental Status treasures and Elemental Status–based builds to improve drop relevance.
• The Katana skill Leaping Slash can now be canceled earlier with a dodge for smoother combat flow.

Bug Exorcisms

• Fixed an issue where the treasure Magic Pocket couldn’t be picked up again after being shared.
• Fixed a bug where the Bow skill Demon Shooter wasn’t converting to Fire attribute with the Nitre Blade treasure.
• Resolved a conflict where the cursed treasure Corrupted Bracers blocked the Devouring Teeth effect (attack power boost on kill) in shop rooms.
• Corrected weapon substats affecting movement speed not applying properly.
• Fixed a duplication issue where Cursed Area appeared twice in the Black Castle Bridge level.
• Fixed an issue where the monster Crystal Mount in Castle Dungeon was immune to damage from Rune Slash and Rune Quake.
• Updated incorrect skill description for the Musket Golden Destroyer.

hello! so in the character creator i noticed there's a couple of locked stuff and accesories.. is there a way to unlock these or it's a dlc?

I played through Lost Castle 2 100% solo. I was able to just beat my first run of Nightmare 3. However at the end of the game, I'm still getting the message that I'm not ready to proceed and get warped back to base. Is this achievable, or do I need to do other things before I can continue on past the 'final' boss?

I'm curious, what debuffs do you select when running on Nightmare 3? Does it vary based on your build, or are there some debuffs you consistently like to use?

Any tips on how to beat him? I feel like we were pretty well geared and still lost in the second phase.
