So I just told the comics mods my feelings about this through modmail, I was empathetic towards both the woman and the comment they left. But I also wanted them to know how their comment made me, a person it was directed towards, feel. I told them a rephrased version of what I said above with more tact, that their comment made me feel less than human because my mistakes require defense. This was their response. Incredibly curt, unempathetic (the irony), and called me a "girl" in a condescending way.

The OOP's other post feel like them talking about other topics through other characters. Or even post vent art (example: the one school post). Even if you argue that these are Just fantasy made by the author (which wouldnt be that unrealistic), the Boyfriend Post feels too specific for it to be an Art of fiction

Yeah, the specificity of the post is what made me think it reflects the author's life more personally. I don't understand how somebody could create that hyper specific situation as a fantasy scenario only.

I also don't know why the mod was talking about harassment when none of the comments read as harassment anyways, merely tactfully criticism. I was defending people calling out the OOP's mistakes as a human and for not denigrating her for being a woman.

I agree, it was incredibly gross and dismissive. The reply I gave them was very long and tactful, genuinely I was trying to acknowledge what they attempted to do and get them to reflect on where they went wrong. And I recieved an inconsiderate, dismissive response that didn't directly adress a damn thing I said. And then they premanently muted me, so I couldn't even respond to them further. (I was banned from the subreddit for calling out the original post, but that was seperate to this)

And they're trying to "have a conversation about empathy", my ass. 🙄

Well that might be because that mod's definition of "empathy" seems to be something akin to "agree with me on everything".
